I'm buying a stone from jamesallen, and can only pick 3 to send to the idealscope.

Please help me choose which 3 of the following would be best. All score 2.0 or under on HCA. All are supposedly eye-clean unless noted. Or, if you have any other good options, please let me know!

Re: Please help me choose which stones to send to the ideals

Since you have so many options. Lose the ones with the 41 pavillion angle. There's nothing wrong with it, but the others have a higher chance of idealscoping out.

Re: Please help me choose which stones to send to the ideals

Nice! OK, that gets rid of F, H, and I.

I'm getting closer...

Also can anyone chime in with how long these idealscopes usually take to produce and how long JA usually takes to ship within the US? They were kinda vague on the idealscope timing...

Re: Please help me choose which stones to send to the ideals

Sorry, double post...

Re: Please help me choose which stones to send to the ideals

Based on your current selection, I would advise to go for the stone with depth <= 61.8, 40.6<=pavilion <41

Thanks! OK, if I'm doing this correctly, this leaves me with A, B, and G. Should those be my three? They seem like good choices.

I guess the crown angle on B worries me a bit. Is it just too deep or worth a look? I definitely like the weight...

Option C is also at 61.9 depth which is very close to your cut-off

Re: Please help me choose which stones to send to the ideals

Regarding option B, if the crown angle isn't a dealbreaker, the 0.84 ct has a black inclusion on the table... Not sure how much I trust the eye-clean designation... Will they be able to check this closer when they run the idealscope?

Sorry to bombard the thread with questions... Obviously I do not know what I am doing.

Also, I'm adding this one to the list since the measurements look really nice. But it's a VS1, which elevates the cost without adding anything I really want. So unless it seems way better, I'll probably exclude it from consideration.

option J) http://www.jamesallen.com/loose-diamonds/round-cut/0.70-carat-j-color-vs1-clarity-excellent-cut-sku-365801
Carat weight: 0.70
Certificate: GIA
Color: J
Shape: Round
Clarity: VS1
Cut: Excellent (triple X)
Depth %: 61.1
Table %: 57.00
Culet: None
Crown angle: 34.0
Pavillion Angle: 40.8

It took 3 business days for my gemologist review.

ETA: JA ships stones over a certain $$ amount (2k I think) overnight, insured.

Re: Please help me choose which stones to send to the ideals

Thank you! A couple of the diamonds I wanted weren't available so I have to choose 2 out of 3 from B, E and G. Which one should I throw out?

I like the extra weight on B, but I am still far more concerned with cut. Plus, won't the 36.0 crown angle make it look smaller anyway?

E is nice but is pretty deep (62.1 depth percentage).

G has great proportions but they won't call it eye clean. There is a small "dot" likely only visible from the side at 5-7 inches.

Which one of these 3 would you throw out?
