I am looking to upgrade my e-ring setting, which was custom made about 3 yrs ago. Unfortunately, the workmanship is lacking, and the halo stones were set crookedly. I had to have the jeweler reset a bunch of the stones, and he gives me a hard time like I shouldn't expect it to be perfect. Anyways, I've been looking into some new settings, and found a few I really love. I was hoping to get some advice from fellow PSers regarding the quality of the settings, if anyone has had experience with the sellers. I wear my ring on a daily basis, and am paranoid about poorly done pave causing the stones to fall out. The ones I am contemplating are listed below:

I wear a size 4 ring, and am hopping to keep total cost under 1200. Also, shouldnt a smaller ring size result in a lower cost? The quotes posted on the websites are the same for all sizes, which doesn't make any sense. Smaller size = less gold = cheaper, right?

Here is my original e-ring. Center stone is 0.7ct cut-cornered modified square brilliant measuring about 5mm.

Thanks!

Very pretty ring! Prices for metals and diamonds are high right now, and excellent workmanship comes with a high price tag as well. Most of the custom halo rings here are costing $3000-5000. However, Gabriel and Co. does make some pretty rings, and that is what I would try if I needed to make a selection with that budget. Look at their site because IDJ can order anything on their site. They have many pages of halo rings:

Prices usually stay the same unless there is a very large stone or very large ring size, and then they can increase. More of the cost is labor than metal.

I think I like the first one you posted!

I suggest you dont go with double halo. Its just gives you more diamonds that could fall out. In your price range I think
that Gaberil and Co. (like DS said) would be a good option.

ditto. I like the IDJewelry one you linked.

Thanks everyone. I'm leaning towards the Gabriel and co split shank, but am still in love with the Soleste-style double halo! Does anyone have a double halo out there, and if so, have you had issues with stones falling out? I'm assuming that if a stone does fall out from the halo, it will be pretty hard for a local jeweler to replace as it might disrupt the entire integrity of the setting and loosen the neighboring stones. Is this true?

I am pretty sure that price on the spilt shank is incorrect on the IDJ site. I would call and ask about that before you make a decision.
