Hi everyone!

First of all, I really appreciate your input on this forum since it has really helped me a lot in my diamond search process

.

After reading the pricescope website and the forum for a few weeks, I have decided to purchase a diamond for my engagement ring with the following criteria:
Clarity: VVS1-SI1; Color: D-G; Cut: Round H&A; Carat: 0.8-0.95
Budget: max$6500 prefer<$5500

With the above search on GOG, I have the following diamonds:
http://goodoldgold.com/diamondResults.php?shape=1&ctMin=0.81&ctMax=0.95&clarity=124&color=15&priceMax=6000&inHouse=3&resultsColumns=268451855

After checking the Gemex Report these four seem to be the best. However, there are some points that I am concerned of for each of them.

http://goodoldgold.com/diamond/2266/ 0.85ct E SI1 Round H&A -- medium Fluor
http://goodoldgold.com/diamond/2356/ 0.837ct G VS1 Round H&A -- the GIA report is not uploaded so not sure where the VS2 ''flaw'' is.
http://goodoldgold.com/diamond/2286/ 0.902ct F SI1 Round H&A -- crystal inclusion seems very visible...
http://goodoldgold.com/diamond/2255/ 0.904ct D SI1 Round H&A -- is midium fluor a problem for this color D?

Another thing I am worried about is that most of them are SI1 diamonds, and I am not sure if the flaws are visible on the actual diamonds.
Can someone please give me an advice on them please? Which one do you think is the best?

Moreover, I actually would prefer a higher clarity over color (like a VS1 and G), but GOG does not seem to have 0.8-0.9 carat diamonds with better clarity in stock at this moment... Considering the location of these feathers or inclusions, will these SI1 differ a lot to the VS1s?

Another question is: how are these diamonds differ from WF''s A Cut Above Diamonds? I would really want one ACA but then I am unable to find any in WF in the 0.8-0.9 carat range...

Thank you so much for your help :)!!

hi meeko,

On GIA reported diamonds, I would suggest that you purchase G SI1 in that size range....you get more bang for your bucks...SI clarity generally makes people quite nervous because it seems so low....but for the most part, you have to understand that when we gemologists are grading clairty, we are looking at the stone under 10 power maginification and we are "trained" to evaluate the visibility of the inclusions in the stone for the "size, number, position, color, and relief" based in respect to the stone''s diameter/width.... there are occassions where clients have seen an inclusion with their unaided eye, but those are far and far between....SI1 is a safe place to stay.....certainly NOT eye visible (only GIA reports)..... stay away from the Med. Blue with High Color....that is even worse than having lower clarity in my opinion.......cut is the most important aspect to the beauty of a diamond....

good luck...
