I am considering purchasing an "eye-clean" 3 carat G color round brilliant that is GIA certified ideal cut with excellent polish and symmetry. The depth is 60 and table is 57. The cost of the stone will be $36,108. Should i pull the trigger? Please help!
Using the "pricescope your diamond" tool above, it seems like a very good price (G, VS2 range of $32K to $70K). However I think to make an informed decision quite a few more specifications would be needed to confirm.
It''s really hard to determine, there is more information we need about the stone. What is the clarity of the stone? Is it SI1 or SI2? Is the stone eye-clean? An eye-clean SI vs. a non-eye clean can have different values... I would say it is a good value if the stone is eye-clean, I did a simple search on the PS home page for the parameters you listed and prices started around $33,000 for an SI2.
Is it a round stone? Did you get to see it in person, and did you love it?
Can you get us the following info at the least?
-Clarity
-Crown and pavilion angles (%s are less accurate, but acceptable)
And if possible, a detailed picture, Idealscope image, and ASET image. BTW, even though I say "if possible" because they''re not as widely available, I wouldn''t put down that kind of money on a stone without seeing these!
As others have mentioned, need clarity grade (not ''eyeclean'', but the actual grade on the report), crown angle, pavilion angle to start. Girdle thickness? Dimensions/measurements (the x by x by x)
