I have a 1 carat princess cut diamond and I think it might be a bad cut since it looks small from the surface and it sits high on my setting. Here are the specs determined by GIA:

G color
Si 2
5.49 x 5.2 x 4.14
Table 73.3%
Crown 45.30

Opinions are deeply appreciated. Do you think this is a deep cut?

can you double check on the crown 45.3? GIA doesn't give a crown height for princesses and it shouldn't be in the 40s.

The dimensions are normal for a 1 ct princess, so it is not facing up small.

Ya I just checked. Crown is 45.30. But aren't princess cuts around 5.5 x 5.5? And a height around 3.90?

The only numbers on a GIA report should be the report number, dimensions, carat weight, depth, and table. Depth and table are usually in the 60s and 70s.

The issue is not how deep it is. Are you happy with it? And if you aren't, what can you do about it? We can't tell you if it is well cut from the numbers.
