Hello, and thanks for taking a look and hopefully helping me out. I have been looking at these forums for about a month or two now and I am gearing up to make that big purchase to make a special lady happy. First off, I want to say that I have learned a lot through these forums, that when I have been looking around I do feel a lot better about what I am seeing and looking at/for. But I could still use some help in finding the right stone. I am looking for a Princess around the 1.1 ct area. Hopefully sticking to less than 5k (4500 in a really ideal world).

Also there is a wholesaler in my area that has the following diamond for 4568

1.12
G - SI1
Depth 75.0
Table 71.0
Pol -Exc
Sym - VG
5.58*5.47*4.10

I know I will need more info and reports on them, but which one(s) are worth looking at more. Or if anyone has any recommendations for a Princess in the 1.1 area (less than 5k) area that would be great.

Thanks for your time and help!

Your #2 selection at WF looks exactly the same as the one your local vendor is offering but WF has it for less $$$. Take advantage of the fact that you have it close by and try to see it in person. #3 has a lot of variance in the girdle which would turn me off. #1 only has good symmetry while the others have very good which I would consider as well. The others look like contenders to look at more closely with the sarin data, idealscope images, etc. even though they appear a little on the deep side.

My princess was a 67 T/74 depth which was a little deeper then i would have preferred for the table but the sarin/idealscope data checked out great and when i saw it, it was gorgeous....so definitely get the numbers.

I would also consider an H/SI1 for cost....

Thanks for the comments and insight. To be honest, I didn''t notice that the WF#2 and the local one are the same. Trying to do too much in a short time I guess. Thanks again.

Hi, and welcome!

You will be far better off if you stick to looking at the in-house stones of some of these vendors. That means they are stones that the vendor has selected to buy and keep in inventory. At WF you need to click on Expert Selection and then princess. Good Old Gold will have in-house stones with pictures, etc. and James Allen probably has some, too. It helps to have the certificate, the photos, and idealscopes to be able to choose a diamond. I wouldn''t mess with the virtual inventory because there are too many unknowns.

Thanks for the help everyone. I appreciate it.
