My budget for the total purchase is $7,000 and Jamie from Whiteflash recommended this one. She said it is eye clean and she was impressed by the ideal scope.

What do you think?

Looks like a great stone. I think the Fluorescence will put off a beautiful blue color.....which I like!!!

Have you seen the stone in person and with your eyes??? There is a reason why it has a faint FLUORESCENCE rating , because it exhibits FLUORESCENCE. If it did not exhibit FLUORESCENCE at all, then the rating would be none, then it would not be FELT AT ALL!!!!!

Then I guess the graders of the stone were wrong, if it does not show at all, then it does not have FLUORESCENCE!!!

No. When my diamond was put in the box that shows if it would fluoresce, it did, very faintly. That simply isn''t enough to show in the sun, but it does fluoresce.

Forgive me, but I know nothing about florescence. Do you all agree that this is a very nice stone for the price and that it will show well?

Yes, it should be a lovely stone, and the price is good.

Looks like a nice stone to me. A 1.6 on the HCA as you probably already know.

For comparative purposes, you might want to look at this one for about the same price, cut quality, and clarity. (I bought from WF a couple of days ago and remember seeing it listed). It would be a couple grades down in color and noticeably larger. you might have already covered this ground - just food for thought.

Hmmm....that one scores a little higher on the HCA....should I ask it it''s eyeclean?

This stone is actually a 1.3, slightly smaller on HCA. Generally smaller is better, until you get below 2.
I believe Holloway''s guidance is that anything below 2 is excellent and the differences are a matter of taste. I doubt average joes like us could tell the difference.

I actually talked to WF about this stone (among others) and seem to recall them saying it was eye clean even though it has a lot of red on the cert. But DO NOT take my word for it of course - talk to them. FYI there is another I of this size that''s an ACA for about $500 more.

Great! Thanks!

Any other opinions?

What are your thoughts on the similarly priced 1.2 ct stone mentioned above?
