I have seen someone posted a beautiful ring with a canar yellow lab diamond on Reddit. The stone was from a vendor, I haven't heard before, now I have looked through their website several times. I have found 2 stones I like. I don't want to post a direct link to the stones, but I post the loupe360 videos:

Could you give me please your opinion? I try to avoid greenish-yellow stones, because I don't like them, and I try to keep the price for a 3 ct. stone under 1.500 USD.

Is one of them a good stone, or could I find any better?

I really like the 3.08. I think the color is very pretty and bright. What are your plans for this stone?

I can't comment on any lab-related issues (because I'm not good at detecting those).

I would like to wear it as a ring. It’s just absolutely hard to decide, which stone to get, because returning it from Europe is no option for me.

I’m still undecided regarding setting. I’m considering a thin wg halo setting, or just a wg pave band and the stone in a yellow gold basket.
These are my ideas:

I just really crave a glowy yellow stone on my hand, my own sunshine.

I have found one more option for a stone:

I like this new one you posted, too.

Returning can be a pain when you live in the US. I can't imagine what a pain it is when you live in Europe!

I tend to favor halos on color stones for the contrast...but that's me. What do you see yourself wearing? Do you
plan on an everyday ring or for special occasions?

Considerations to keep in mind, as only you know what is right for you!

Yes, return is absolutely not an option because of 20% import tax in my country.

Regarding setting: I have really a lot of rings, and I rotate them quite frequently. This would be no special occasion ring, just a ring to make me smile. I would mainly wear it in summer, I just like yellow diamonds in summer.

I have already a pink lab diamond ring in a halo, and I love it. The reason for haloing it was mainly, that it was not big enough for a solitaire for my taste. Lab diamonds just spoiled me, and made my DSS much worse!

I love colored stones in halos too, because they just pop better, but if I find a big enough yellow cushion, I may put it in a solitaire setting with a pave band.

I wrote to the vendor and asked for more videos of the 2 bigger stones. Now, I just wait…

Post the videos if you can!

I really like that 3.08 vivid, I'd jump at that, I think it's better in color and cut character and could stand on its own even without a halo.

Hi everyone!!
A word of caution….
The rotating videos have proven to be unreliable in the case of yellow labs.
Many times I’ve picked a stone based on the video only to rejects it once I’ve seen it in real life.
Much more difficult than colorless in this regard.
I’d ask for an actual tweezer video:)

So, unfortunately I haven’t got any more videos from the vendor, not even a reply. As ordering without more videos is too risky for me, I’ve contacted Fiorese, and asked Matt for yellow diamonds.

I’ve chosen a 3,24 carat stone, 8,13*8,03 mm and VS2 clarity.

And here a link to the videos:

The first video was taken inside, the second video is in natural daylight.

What do you all think? I really hope, it’s going to look nice.

Looks like a ray of sunshine for your finger. I think that’s a fabulous yellow.

WOW that's lovely. Enjoy!

Yes, I hope exactly for a ray of sunshine on my hand! I decided to put it in a white gold halo, and with yellow gold prongs.

I can’t wait for it to be done. I’ll post pictures, as soon as it’s ready.

So, after waiting for 2 weeks, finally I‘ve got videos of my ring. There are pros and cons with it unfortunately.

Pro is: I like the color of the stone set in the yellow gold basket, and the shape of the setting altogether

Con: the halo has „naked“ corners, which I absolutely don’t like, and it was not intended according to CAD.

I mentioned my concerns to Matt, and he immediately agreed, and told me they will redo the stones in the halo.

After all, I’m happy with the stone, I just need to wait patiently for the adjustment.

Glad they are fixing it for you. Unfortunately, I cannot see the videos. I did sign in. Are the permissions locked down?

Huge gorgeousness, love it. I get your feeling about the corners of the halo, too much contrast with the gold prongs.

That time I could see it on my phone that looks so beautiful. Love your diamond that’s great. I am very happy. They’re going to redo that halo for you. I’m kind of surprised they left such gaping holes on the corners.

Yes, it’s just not esthetic, it would always bother me. The contrast between yg prongs and the wg corners is just too big.
I’m sure they can fix it, I have an other halo from Fiorese, and that halo is really done nicely.

UPDATE The setting had to be done completely new. It took two weeks and it was absolutely worth the wait.

I love the color of the stone, it’s really saturated. When the sunshine hits the stone, the yellow just glows. This is exactly the color I wanted, so I’m really happy with my new ring.

Gorgeous

Wow, gorgeous! That stone looks large and in charge! The diamond halo sets it off perfectly... The 2-week wait was
more than worthwhile!

Stunning ring! It looks so crisp in contrast and sunny!

Thank you all for your nice comments! In the next few days I’m going to enjoy sunny weather, so I’ll post some more pictures. I can’t get enough of this ring!
