Diamond 2 -

Diamond 3-
Deptth is 60%

Thats all I have got sorry

No GIA certs for any of the stones?

The crown and pav angles are critical for analysis ...

I''m sure I could get them but I dont have them at present. Can you tell at all from what I have provided. I dont know much about diamonds and grading them

They all seem promising from the info you provided above, but without knowing the crown and pav angles, they might be dull, poor performers.

Once you get those certs, post up the crown and pav angles and it''ll be much easier to give you more feedback.

Ditto. Alternatively if you could get the report #''s we might be able to find the info online. But it could be simpler for you to just request the info from the vendor/s and which EGL lab has graded the non GIA ones such as EGL Israel, Antwerp etc.

Ok Diamond 1 -
Im not sure how to write this down but i''ll try
It says 57% across the top of the diamond
To the Left it says 60% and the to the Right 33%
It appears from the top to the girdle reads 14%
It also has 44% and 41.4 on the right hand side and
80% on the bottom left does this make sense to anyone

I believe it was EGL Irasel as thats where he said the diamond was?? On the 2nd Diamond??

Diamond 2 (EGL)
Total Depth - 62.2%
Width - 56%
Crown Height - 14%
Pavilllain Depth 44%

EGL REPORTS ARE SO MUCH EASIER TO READ LOL

Total Depth - 60%
Width - 59%
Crown Height - 13.5%
Pavilllain Depth 43%

Well the last one appears to be well enough cut, but really you can do better Sarah, have you looked at any AGS0 cut grade or other GIA stones? Egl are thought to vary by some experts concerning the accuracy of their grading, so it could be wise if you opt for an EGL graded stone ( egl usa are said to be the strongest lab) to get an independant appraisal during the return period. If you give us an idea of your budget and requirements if you like, maybe we could find some diamonds you might like?

Lorelei, the 3rd stone is a GIA too.
Sarah, it looks good on the 3rd stone but can you give us the angles just in case? Just give us the GIA report number is fine if you think it is too difficult to find the angles. There might be some error associated with using depth on the cut advisor.

My budget is £2150 gbp and thats to include a platinum setting.
this is the link to the 3rd stone http://www.adiamor.com/D-7973307.htm
I was going to go for the 1st stone as its from a UK suplier is it not a good stone at all?

3rd one seems to be the only worthwhile one to see in person.

As said above,
I think you should focus on AGS0 and GIA stones moreso than EGL.

Having said that, I would start doing some research on this site and contacting some of the vendors with a budget and spec range you are looking for; bottom line, you can find much better stones than the three you are currently posting.

Stone 3 looks good when using the angles but you will have to check if it is eye-clean. Do that company supples Idealscope pictures?

No unfortunly they dont.

Stone 1 is just a little bit out of our cut-off score when using the HCA, scoring a 3 when usually we will only consider stones scoring below 2. If you can get a Idealscope pic for that stone 1, maybe if will tell us something different from the score. Are all the stones from the same company?

The first diamond could be a nice stone Sarah, the cut advisor penalizes a stone with a steeper pavilion angle, so what I would do is to ask the vendor for an Idealscope image, that would be the most useful course of action. Although the aim is to generally strongly consider stones which score 2 or below on the cut advisor, some which score over 2 can also be worth further evaluation. An Idealscope image would tell us if this is one of them.
