First I should say thanks (to Garry, Paul, Mara and others) for advice on my prior post. I decided not to go with the stone I was considering. So here''s round (pun intended) two with the information I have:

1.54 VS1 F
7.43 - 7.49 x 7.57
Depth: 61.3%
Table: 57%
Crown angle: 33.4
Pavil Angle: 41.0
Girdle: 1.7% (m-sl thk)
Culet: none

Polish: VG
Symm: excellent
Flr: none

Thanks for your thoughts.

Looks very promising, I think; good HCA score...and worth pursuing

Regards,

With an average of 41 degrees this stone could go one of 2 ways...

If most of the pavilion angles constituting the 41 degree average is OVER 41 degrees then these crown angles are fine. If however most of the pavilion angles constituting the average fall less than 41 degres (ie. in the 40.8-40.9 zone) then crown angles in the mid 34.x zone would be preferred. If the combinations are too shallow it will contribute to darkness under the table. If possible see if you can get

a. the variances of hte pavilion angles (and crown too while you''re at it)
b. if possible each of the 8 pavilion angles measured to determine the 41 degree average.

This would help better asses this rock.

Peace,

Peace,
It''s hard to imagine that Bava would find better asses anywhere!
