Please advice on this diamond

Hi,

I need your help. Please let me know if you think this is a good diamond.
If this is a good diamond, do you think it will look small on Vatche Royal Crown setting size 4.5(platinum)?

I’m new with PS. I been reading here for about a week now but I’m still not confident enough to make this decision myself.

Excellent choice! It''s an ACA - do you don''t have to worry, they are gorgeous well cut stones. They sparkle like mad!!!

The colour and clarity you have picked are fantastic too, should be an awesome stone!

I would however place it on reserve before someone snatches it away from you.

The only reservation I had on this diamond is that it''s a G color.

Do you think this one is a better one than the one above since this is E color but SI1?

I can''t compare prices as I don''t have the link for the ACA, but I can assure you a G colour stone will be gorgeous. That said, I have a D stone as I just adore the icy white colour of D-E colour stones. Many people can''t tell the difference between these and a G anyway unless they are side by side, so it''s up to you.

If that E SI1 was absolutely eyeclean from all angles and a similar price, I would consider it though. It''s really up to you, either stone will face up white and look fantastic!

If you prefer lower color then get the E... if it is eye clean it doesn''t matter that it isn''t a VS2, except in your mind. You can also wait until you perfect color combo comes up.

You won''t see a hint of color in a G, it is a great option though, F versus G is really splitting hairs IMO.

It looks great, but go with your preference. Do either vendor have an F VS of similar cut available?

It depends, many well cut diamonds may show an arrow pattern, but not be a true hearts and arrows cut. It depends on what you value more, many well cut diamonds can be superb performers and indeed exhibit well formed arrows in some lighting, but don''t have the '' pedigree'' of the true H&A diamond. Sometimes WF have diamonds in their Expert Selection which missed the ACA standard by a whisker, so they could tell you more and maybe suggest some diamonds which may be suitable, same with GOG, Jon might have some beautiful non H&A. Also unless an F colour is very important to you, you may not notice any difference even with direct comparison between that grade and a G, but of course if it matters to you to have a colourless grade, then that is fine and a personal preference.
