I thought I would explain myself regarding me posting about contacting a member outside of this forum which I now gather is against policy since my post was immediately removed. I have been a member here for just a short time and in that time have become educated somewhat regarding diamonds. I also must admit that after rereading all of my posts that I must to appear to some to be a basket case who cant make up her mind.ie. I love my setting... I want to change it to a solitaire... I love the diamond... I want to change my diamond.. etc...
If you have followed my posting at all you know of my frustration in finding a diamond locally.I have been restricted to purchasing the diamond from the jewelry store in town where my husband purchased my initial diamond. Its been frustrating to say the least when I can find virtual diamonds that fall within the HCA guidelines for an outstanding stone but am not able to purchase them because my money is tied up at a local store. That being said it seems like every time I post something only a few certain people answer. I must admit that I am rather embarrassed at myself when I read my earlier posts but such is the nature of this forum. To make a long stry short I currently have a vs2 /I color 1.34 stone, have 2000 left on credit at the jewelry store after all of my transactions and they havent been able to find me stone I am comfortable with.Yesterday it seems my luck had changed as the salesperson called to tell me that while she couldnt lower the price of a stone I was considering , she would in fact try to source me a GIA virtual stone if I could find one I liked. One could imgine my surprise and excitedness at this prospect but also I was weary of posting this on a public forum for fear that she would see it and read it as it isnt their normal policy. So.. I thought rather mistakenly that if I were able to get in touch with one member in particular who always seems to respond to my posts that perhaps she would be able to help me and I wouldnt need to risk this info being public. So that is why I posted what I did last night. So please accept my apologies for the faux pas and know that it was done in error and without malicious intent.

That being said can somebody please find me a virtual GIA stone that is around 14,000 dollars! I rreally need the help and for those of you that are tired of reading my posts that may seem silly you can finally be done with me after you do! I posted one last night vs2/I with medium blue fluorescence. Maybe somebody else could comment on that stone as I am considering it. Any other suggestions are welcome and appreciated. I am open. The only criteria is it must be a GIA certified stone.I have a budget of 14,00 but you know how that goes..PLEASE HELP

color/clarity/size?

Hi- I was thinking vs2-si1-- h color rb preferably but am open to suggestions from you that know more. As far as size of course the bigger the better but starting from 1.25 and up.I was going to have a look at an I color with medium f to see how that looked next to my I color I currently own that has none. I was reading that fl can help the color some and wanted to have a look at one in person. Plus its priced well and is 1.70 ct.Tahnks in advance everyone.

Hi! I will be glad to help, too! Getting one with fluor. will help the price if you want to go that route. After we were talking about it yesterday, I read more on fluorescence and ended up stumbling on one for myself! I am checking into having that called in! So I am sure we can find you a good one! Just FYI, many of the stones on James Allen's site are virtual and available through other vendors. Don't look at True Hearts, but look in the Ideal category only. I'll look and list what I find.

That I VS2 that you posted looks great! But I would go to H color if you have any reservation about the I color you now have because you just can't count on the fluor. to take away all the color. You won't even notice medium blue. The one I am looking at is strong blue but I have to have it called in to make sure it is a good one! I read a thread here yesterday where some people with VERY nice rings mentioned their stones had SBF, and it spurred me to look into it more. You don't have to do that at all. I am just explaining because I saw how the price is discounted a little for MB and a lot for SB.

I am looking now but I wondered, are you keeping your beautiful setting for a right hand ring or are you starting over with a setting, too? I can tell you aren't trying to fit a stone in it.

Here is a very nice 1.53 H VS2 if you decide to bump up color and clarity:

Click the GIA report to get the report #. The stone has great numbers. You'd just have to check to make sure inclusions are acceptable as with all stones. The good thing about finding one listed with a price is that you can ask them to price match.

I still like the I VS2 you posted if you want to go larger in size and stick with I color. It would be nice if they'd call in both stones for you to see so that you could see which appeals to you most.

And I did mean to comment about your original post above. You fit right in here! Most of us have been in the same boat! Choosing a very tiny, but very expensive item is important and none of us want to make a mistake! I might be able to meet you next week to go look at stones they call in.

That would be wonderful if you were able to meet next week. I will update you when the stones come in. Thanks so much for your help. The 1.72 is tempting but we will just have to see it in person. It would be nice to have an extra pair of eyes- especially yours! My friend has a great little Italian restaurant in the are we could do lunch at afterwards!

Good to know. I will check out the James Allen website.

Sounds great! I didn't see much on the JA site. I think the two found are promising.

Me either! I wanted to get one more called in. I will keep looking tonight. Fun past time I must say!

Haha! Yes, you can see I am hooked! Since I can't buy diamonds everyday, I can help other people spend their money!
