Does anybody have a recommendation for a trustworthy platinum smith (or jeweler) in the orange county / los angeles area?

I recently purchased an e-ring online, but some of the prongs are slightly off of the diamond at their tips and thus are snagging on everything. This is not very desirable as it is very annoying and also it posses some questions as to the long term integrity of the ring. I''d also like to get the prongs filed down a bit as I am not very happy with the way the setter decided to shape them.

It would seem that any jeweler could do this for a decent price (like around $50), correct?

The other option would be to send it back to the online store to have it fixed. Although they said that they would not charge to do the repairs, I would end up having to pay the shipping both ways and I think that would add up to quite a bit more than finding somebody local, not to mention my fiancé being without her ring for a week.

Let me know if you have any recommendations or suggestions.
Much Thanks,

Hi,

My friend recently had her husbands 14K gold wedding band repaired at this store. The band was really beat up by the in-sink aerator. They did a good job for a good price too ($30). I am sure they do platinum too because I actually planned on getting a stone from them along with a platinum setting and they do have quite a bit of platinum selections. They have several stores in the LA and Orange County area. So, you might want to go to the website www.hingwalee.com and find the location nearest you to check. Hope this helps.
