Hi all,

My mom is looking to replace her pendant chain with one that is easier for her to clasp (has minor arthritis). Her current chain is a 17 inch box chain but I realize we might need to get 18 or 16 in a different chain. Does anyone know where I can get a chain with an easy to operate, large clasp?

Have the current clasp replaced.
Shouldn''t cost more than $25 or so.
Its a 2 min job for a benchman.

I would recomend this type
They are called toggle clasps

How about the magnetic clasps? I think they would great for someone with arthritis. The magnets clip on to the existing chain''s ends and seem pretty secure. I saw them on qvc.com.

They are ok as long as one isnt around kids.
They would be a little more than most other types to have added.

i have a 16 inch wheat platinum chain by leslie. it has a lobster claw clasp and is fairly easy to manipulate. i checked the leslie site and they don''t list platinum so i am not sure they still have it. i purchased mine from a local b&m.

at any rate, i find the lobster easier than the spring ring and i am no spring chicken. hth.
