Plat/ru ring next to a Plat/ ir 900 mix????

Ok I was wondering since plat/ru mix 950 has a higher vickers rating than plat/ir 900 would one scratch or harm the other if the wedding band is ir mix & e-ring is plat/ru????

Also will I see a differnece in color over time as they get scratched?

Any experts know???
