Pinterest double halo ring

Hi PS Friends,

I saw this interesting looking ring on pinterest. Unfortunately, pinterest is unlike PS where there isn't bountiful details to explain what you are looking at. I was curious if anyone had a guess what the center stone is made of? Thought the contrast was still rather beautiful in a subdued way.

Maybe a rose cut of some sort? Just a guess.

A white sapphire maybe?

It's hard to tell from this pic, but it almost looks like one of the "fancy white" diamonds that Leibish sells. Hard to find a good pic, but here's one set, and one loose. They have a more opaque color than traditional white diamonds, and a "silky" look. That's kind of what the original pic reminds me of, but again it's a bit hard to tell.
