YES CALLIE!! the weather was beautiful, we had brunch outside with our son, DIL, and Auti, we left, Mike called about 'something' and John and I said, Oh What a Wonderful Day it is! and back you, hope you are having a wonderful, happy day.

A new grandniece was born in our family this week. It’s been a wonderful week.

Yes! Glad you are having a beautiful day too. It is an amazing day in so many ways. Weather wise it feels like late Spring/early Summer and everyone is in a good mood. Just got back from cycling 75 miles down the shore and it feels oh so good!

@missy Wow! 75 miles? I biked 40 miles once and couldn't move for 3 days! Lol of course I had just learned how to ride a bike that day and my husband decided to have a family bike ride from one French town to another.

Okay I just read that the President's lawyers held a press conference at the Four Seasons Total Landscaping in Philadelphia when they meant to book the Four Seasons Hotel

The cremation center next to it was where I had my dad's remains cremated. I was just thinking of my dad this morning. What a strange coincidence. I think?!

I was staying with ny freind and hadn't been on a bike in years
Borrowed her man's bike and it was too big for me
We only biked about 40km
my arms and shoulders were stretched for days

@Bayek my daughter had piano class yesterday so we walked through prospect park and down Flatbush Avenue. It was surreal! People were walking and cheering and dancing on the street. There were people hanging out of their windows banging on pots and pans. There were a ton of traffic and people got out of their cars and danced. There were live bands and music from boom boxes every block. Everyone just seemed so relieved and hopeful. I didn't see a single irritated person yesterday. I didn't see a parade but mostly dancing parties

Clinton Hill? That's my old neighborhood! Lived there for 14 years, it's a great place to live.

I guess this isn't the thread or website for me to expect sympathy understanding or empathy is it? Hmmm. It was demanded of me to understand how despondent and petrified everyone was. Have your party. But know that half your country doesn't agree with you on the new direction.

Well for me personally it will be fine. But to expect sudden feelings of commraderie from others as a whole after being called racists nazis and other horrible names for 4 years is a big ask. Don't be surprised if it's not met with open arms.
