Hi Cheryly, I have no idea with spinel, sorry that I can not help to answer your question perfectly. Guess, there is some experted at it would find you the satisfying answer, people here are so kind-hearted, or you can re-post your question on the F&Q section, guess soon you would get your response.
You need to click Report Concern on your post and ask the moderators to move your question to the Colored Stone section. But I can already tell you that there is zero way they can estimate price with no information. It could range from $200 to $20,000+ (just an example) depending on a number of factors relative to that particular stone.
Just confirming that you are considering a 20 ct spinel? That's a HUGE stone if it isn't a typo. AIGS is a reputable lab but as always, I would verify the memo by emailing the lab to make sure it hasn't been forged.
I have seen large spinels of decent color go for anything from 30k to over 100k, depending on the exact color, origin, size, shape, and cut. So I don't think any of us can actually answer your question.
Consider this ............. if the AIGS report is forged this could be a 20ct piece of glass.
If it's a 20ct spinel and is a dirty included pink it could be worth very little. If it's a top colour clean spinel then it could be rare and worth a lot of money.
So basically the range is from $0 to anywhere above that.
