My boyfriend had pink eye over a week ago. Since I didn''t get it then, I figured I was in the clear. But noooo I woke up this morning with pink eye! I haven''t had it since I was in elementary school! Haha it''s so yucky! I just wanted to whine.
40.gif

Yuck, I''m sorry. I''ve never had it, but my kids did. No fun.

Oh, I''ve had it once and it is really gross-feeling! Only nice things about it is that you don''t feel sick at all, but have to take a sick day so you don''t infect the folks at work, so it''s a good chance to get stuff done.

Hope it goes away soon!

Similasan! Sold at your local drugstore, homeopathic, probably in the eyecare section (fairly new product). 10 bucks. If it works, your pinkeye was bacterial and the Similasan will clear it up in a few days. If it doesn't work within a day or two, your pinkeye is viral and there's nothing your doc can do about viral anyway, it just has to pass like any other virus.

I get pinkeye more than the average person, I guess my eyes are plotting an eventual overthrow of the rest of my body.
4.gif
Got sick of going to the doc every time with their dumb copays.

Good luck either way!!

ETA: If your doc will CALL IN drops like SDL said, that'd be great! Mine is greedy and wants me to come in so they can "make sure" I am diagnosing myself correctly. Bleah.

Yep, you need to find out if your Pink Eye is viral or Bacterial as only the latter will need the drops. The viral takes longer to go away!

Be sure to throw out your mascara!!! Also, wipe down all your surfaces, including door handles, light switches with anti-bacterial wipes so you don''t reinfect yourself. And, wash your pillow case in hot water EVERY night for a few weeks.

I had to throw out brand new Christian Dior mascara.. BUMMER! I also threw out my contacts.. I have some prescription eye drops, too. It just stinks it''s happening right before the weekend because I''ll have to go out wearing my glasses! Yikes.

I thought your avatar lipstick had something to do with it....
2.gif
Couldn''t figure out how you were going to include it. Whew.

I am so sorry. Hey...Glasses make you look far more studious. Hope it clears up before the big...apron reveal.

(Ellen...you hush!)

Oh yeah...I forgot it was YOU with the apron plan! Hey it could still work with glasses!

Hey Pearl Girl...you got snow? Big fluffy flakes? The other end of 44 has it!!! BIG BIG larger than a half dollar!!

We''ve got lots of snow! It''s very pretty! What part of OK are you in?

I try not to place a dart on my whereabouts
emsmiled.gif
...(you have seen how I can ruffle feathers here, right? Don''t want my house egged.) I will try to reveal to you...something that will tell you without telling the WHOLE world. Something clever that only you would know....hummmm...when you least expect it on some post elsewhere...secret code....okie dokey?

first free clue...If you are not native, you will have to ask someone who is...have you ever heard of Shrimp poboys? They had them here years ago at a drive in. Alot of outatowners still ask for that. Long gone...they also served you a black bottom pie. ring a bell?

I don't blame you.

And I definitely know where you live now! That is where my mom grew up and a lot of family still lives! Love that place.. somewhere.. out there. Don't worry, your secret's safe with me.

Ellen...
35.gif
I see you!

Pearly girl...really? You really already know? NO WAY...really? What is the first letter of the name of the place I am talking about?
20.gif

Next time you visit, let me know, we can say hiddie ho to oneanother! On second thought...maybe not...I am sure if I meet you I would snicker...you know why...I would know about the....ELLEN GET OUT OF HERE !! I am trying to have a private conversation with OUpearly. Scat! Well anyway I would promise to try to refrain from giggling. Honest.

lol.gif

You are talking about a place that starts with a T! And my mom graduated from a high school that starts with an E. My dad swears the best coneys come from a place that starts with a W and has great Root Beer. Am I right??

Haha I might be visiting grandma sometime in late March. I''ll finally have my birthday aquamarine bling by then too!!
1.gif

No need to giggle.. I don''t think I''m brave enough for Ellen''s suggestion!
19.gif

I feel like we are cheerleaders...
35.gif
Give me a P! Which is actually what I was looking for. Buzzz....you lost. But the W is right!! You win! Your parting prize is a large Birthday Root beer float, paid for by me...if you get the time to spare!

No way you are an aquamarine! I am too!!! What is your day? (What code are we going to use for numbers? Divide the number by 2 and then add 3??
16.gif
)

Oh, thanks about the disclaimer and confession that you are actually not doing the Ellen suggestion...whew...not sure I could ever talk to you knowing your were ONE of those girls. Ha ha. I am just kidding. Just kidding...having a little fun. (don't tell Ellen, but I am apron shopping this week!!
31.gif
it is really not a bad idea. I should have one in stock just in case)
You know she is going to see this. Why ever did I write that? I am going to regret it...I should delete it, shouldn't I? Oh dear.

Well. I am sure enjoying this banter...neighbor!
35.gif

ETA: Oh forgive me for not asking....how is the pink eye?

Haha I got confused for what you were wanting the first letter of. I put the town instead of the drive in.. We are SUCH cheerleaders! Hip Hip Hooray! Rah rah siskoombah! I don''t know how to spell that hahaha.

My day is a rather popular Irish holiday!
9.gif
It''s the big 2-1 so I''m very excited.

I''m enjoying our little chat quite immensely! I could go on and on about your little place of residence. It''s a place I hold dear to my heart for very many reasons!

I will definitely let you know the next time I am in town!

The pink eye has gotten much better. Today it wasn''t even red. I''m not putting my contacts in until tomorrow, just to be safe. But thanks for asking!

Get out! I was almost a Leapy! ALMOST... THE VERY LAST DAY BEFORE!!! Not kidding. But dear...we have a few years apart. Drats. You are just a pup. We are aprox. two decades apart. Shhhh. If anyone does the math on that one...I''m gonna get you!
29.gif
2 decades doesn''t always add up to 20 does it?? I failed at math.

When I had my 21st...hubby (bf at the time) got those cake decorating words things...and worked on my cake for over an hour. I thought it was going to be what I had hoped for...like WILL YOU MARRY ME? Or the very least I LOVE YOU DEARLY...or the ever favorite MY ONE AND ONLY...you know what he wrote on my cake on my 21st bday...(why why didn''t I take it as an omen)....you wanna know...you ready for this???

Two little special words....not three...oh no he didn''t have enough letters for three words he said...the little boogar...he wrote.....

D R I V E S A F E L Y. Arghhhhhh. WHAT??? What is that supposed to mean????
39.gif

Well, I am sure after what EVER
31.gif
you plan to do the week of Valentines day...will make your Bday in March a memorable one. Lets hope you get a little more sentimentality out of your sweetie!

Ahh I can''t believe your birthday is so close to mine! And age ain''t nothin but a numba baby! It''s a good thing for you I''m terrible at math
2.gif

I cannot believe he spelled Drive Safely out.. That is hilarious. No wonder the man threw away a diamond! Heheh just kidding. So how did he eventually propose? Was he super romantic about it?

I think we will have to meet up next time I''m in T town and celebrate our birthdays!

It''s alllllllways the ones who protest the loudest yanno.

For your information MISS ELLEN !!! I plan on canning some preserves! Knew you would have your antenna up and I was right! Just testing you. What do you mean protest the loudest...that is me anyway. Always.

OUP...yes I too find the Drive Safely just wrong. But that is my hubbub. You really want to know the rest??? You should learn not to allow me an opportunity for a story....

He really didn't propose...the ring (you know the yadda yadda yadda lets not beat a dead horse thing) was actually presented as gift...long story.

Then he told me I would have a very special day...on Friday and that I should get a new outfit...and it was really a big day. Got up to a dozen roses...and a poem...and I think a special pastry...and then it was a road trip. I thought he was going to take me to pick up my new car
30.gif
...he pulled into a little podunk town, (which I thought he had finally located the model we were looking for...) and turned the car off at the courthouse. I said what are we doing here? Ah duh? He handed me a ring box that had two gold bands...I still didn't get it-what are these rings for...ah duh? He said, "so you in or are you out?" Again in for what? AH duh?

Sometimes I can be so dense...so there you have it...a suprise wedding (no let me correct that, what I had wasn't a wedding it was "A WEDDEN")...We had our picture taken outside the chapel...and in the distance bigger than Dallas was an advertising sign for BAIL BONDS. Again...I ignored the omen-sign-what ever you call it. The romantic thing was it was the day of our anniversary. Again...dense me didn't notice. So yes, when you asked me if it was romantic...it was extremely so on our level.

Little did I know that drive safely was to be our theme to life! Should have walked away...drive safely + bail bonds, arghhh.

So tell me the story about you and Mr Bday soon aka no apron suprise for him, man!

Haha! Aww DKS, I find that story pretty darn cute! If it was "you" it was perrrfect!

We''ll call the bf Roger.. He''s a year older than me. I met him at a fraternity party this spring when we were both dating other people. I didn''t see him at all over the summer and we started hanging out a little bit when school started back up again in the fall. I was still dating "Arnold," who goes to another school, and knew that Roger had an interest in me.. but I was too scared to break it off with long-term-nice-guy-but-not-right-for-me Arnold. Also, Roger was known for being a little bit of a player. He wasn''t disrespectful, but had just dated quite a few girls. He was pretty aggressive, asked me to lunch, movies, etc. I finally said yes when he asked me to a date party that all of my friends were going to. The night before the date party he kissed me. He surprised me and was nothing like I judged him to be. Ever since that night we''ve been pretty much together, even though I had to break it off with the long distance boyfriend before we were officially a "couple". Complicated much?? Arnold was my first relationship, and I didn''t know that things could be so easy as they are with me and Roger.

He has said a few times that he thinks we''ll get married.. but we''ve only been dating for 5 months. Everything happened very quickly with us. We fell HARD. I am the first girl he''s ever said those 3 little words to, and he had a girlfriend for nearly two years! So, I know we have something special but I''m also in NO rush. I don''t want to get married until I''ve graduated and can support myself.

I feel like I just wrote a NOVEL! I can go on and on and on about him. He''s so perfect for me and I''ve never been so happy. CHEEESY!

I LOVE that story. You have the neatest hubby.

I agree Ellen! I''m gonna keep him!

Thought you would come back with a witty response such as WHAT FRUIT IS AVAILABLE FOR PRESERVES in the winter? Whew...glad you didn''t think of that.

OU...I like Roger. He sounds perfect for you! Loved your novel by the way. Hope to read many more happy chapters! You know, your Arnold helped you find your Roger-you knew what you were looking for all the good in Arnold and some extra that you found in Roger, huh? What brings you to PS??? Just a jewelry lover?

What fruits ARE available for preservatives in the winter?
41.gif

I found PS because I was doing a project for a class on Grace Kelly. I googled her wedding dress and found a thread about famous brides. I''ve been a jewelry lover for years, so I was quite excited and surprised to have found this website. I can''t wait to finally show off the bling I''ll be getting in a few weeks!

Ha ha...on the fruit preservatives.
1.gif

Well, glad you are here.
36.gif
Suppose we should thank Grace for that. I just watched Rear Window link again. She (her Character Lisa) was wearing couture and talking about $12-1500 dresses and back then 1954 that was a ton of moola. (For me it is now!!) Can''t imagine it back then when a car was $2500 and a moderate home was $35k.

So tell us...I must have missed it...what is the BLING you will be getting in the next couple of weeks? I gotta know so I too can be excited...vicariously!

I love that movie! If only everything still cost so little..

My mom set up a few traditions for us (I have three sisters) on our birthdays. At 13 you get to pierce your ears, 17 you get a silver heart necklace from Tiffany, etc. I''m the middle child so I already know what''s coming. My mom and my sister both got their birthstone rings on their 21st birthdays. Even though we haven''t talked about it, it''s safe to assume I''ll be getting an aquamarine. I have NO idea what it will look like, so I''m very excited!
