Pictures of OMC...finally have it in hand

Sorry to start a new one, but I put too many photos on the other thread and they weren't so great, so I wanted to show the ones I think are best.
This is the O/P OMC that I posted about previously. It's very pretty, but I wanted something more white. Also, it doesn't look as cushiony as I want.
I stuck it under a platinum band in order to see the contrast.
I really want your thoughts as well because the more I look at it, the more I am falling for it and all of your knowledge and advice really helps!!!

Do some double prongs, which is 2 prongs close together then spaced around the stone 4 times so to speak and that will make it look a little less round. But if you want something more white, the colour is what it is and nothing will change it, maybe you'd be better saying goodbye and continuing your search?

How long can you keep it before sending it back? Does it speak to you? You mentioned some really big flags that make me want to tell you to send
it back (color and shape). If not this stone, there is a stone out there for you...we could help you look.

If you do continue to look I suggest you pick up some of these (if you dont have any) before you get your next stone. Makes them easier to look at.

It won’t get MORE white with wear. If you already think it’s too tinted I say be cutthroat about it and send it back.

Diamonds are frivolities- it should only give us happiness- why spend so much money on something that gives us doubt lol

Liking it more over time just means you appreciate old cuts. Most of them will do that to you. They charm you. But that still doesn’t hange the fact that you think it’s too warm for you. If it bothers you now, i wouldn’t ignore that. It will never get whiter. Keep looking.

Just realized you have a new thread for this stone. After reading your post, I have to agree with the others - when you have the “one,” you will know and not need to wish for this or that. You’ve mentioned two elements, color and shape, that don’t resonate with you or check off your list. So, don’t let the excitement of receiving the stone cloud your judgment now. I’d have Ilya keep looking for you and the right diamond will come along. Just remember, the hunt is part of the fun

It's very pretty but I agree that you should wait until you find a whiter OEC with the cushion shape that you really want.

I LOVE it! It's just lightly buttery and appears to have very well-patterned petals. Have you seen CFlutist's warm stone? She made the most of that warm color and it is overwhelmingly beautiful.
