Hi, am looking to have a ring made using the Vatche x-prong with a the modified square H & A and was wondering if any of you had any pictures of such a ring and how you think this stone might look/fit into the x-prong setting (that is, whether or not you think this would look good compared to other stones like the Regent, Cushion, Jubilee, or Flanders).

As many try to do I''m trying to mimic style in some sense of the Tiffany Lucida, but I do want my own "different" touch to it. I really prefer the square H & A stone to the Lucida diamond, but wanted to see what your thoughts on it were.

Lastly, I''m looking to have a ring made so that the stone looks a little bigger than average and was wondering what width and length you would recommend. The diamonds I was looking at had a width of about 5.5 mm by 5.5 mm...I want the ring to look elegant, simple, and not gaudy.

Thanks!

Well, 6.5mm is the size of a 1 ct. round stone and I don't think that can be considered gaudy under any circumstances, so you are fine anywhere in the range you are looking at or larger. I'd go for as large as you can afford.

I think the stone would be gorgeous and classy in an x-prong setting, too! I'll look around and see if I see any pictures.

Have you seen this picture from the Good Old Gold site? I think it is beautiful!

Thanks Diamond Seeker...hadn''t seen that! Looks awesome.

Do you think a 0.95 c H & A square would be big enough (5.5 mm x 5.55 mm as I had said)? Or, I could go with a bigger Radiant?? I just love the square H & A compared to the Radiant, but don''t want a "tiny" diamond. My GF doesn''t like huge diamonds and just wants something "simple".

Thanks for the pic.

Here''s a couple of relevant pics I dug up for you:
