Here are some pictures from the Smithsonian''s Natural History Museum. The pictures really do not do justice to this gems. Particularly to the colors of the emeralds and the fancy colored diamonds. Let''s start with the Hope Diamond since it has a room all to itself. Hope Diamond. 45.52 ct flawless, deep blue, Golcanda, India.

Marie Antoinette Earrings. 14.25 and 20.34 cts

Marie Louise Diadem. More than 1,000 diamonds totalling about 700 carats surround the Persian turquoise in this silver diadem. Originally set with 79 emeralds.

Napoleon Diamond Necklace. This necklace contains 172 diamonds, totalling
about 260 carats, set in silver. The diamonds came from India or
Brazil.

Inquisition Necklace. Fifteen Colombian emeralds and 336 diamonds make up the
strands of this intricate necklace. 45-carat emerald in the
center.

Chalk Emerald. 37.82 carats, surrounded by 60 pear shaped diamonds, 15 ctw

Ruby and Diamond Bracelet. 31 Burmese rubies 60 ctw. The rubies wer taken from another piece of jewelry and reset in
this bracelet by Harry Winston, Inc., around 1950. The original cuts were retained.

I've been to the Smithsonian and I've seen the Hope diamond (in the Cartier setting) but I don't think I've seen any of these other jewels.

I must say your photography is amazing! Pretty much every shot I tried to take of these beauties when I visited came out blurry or underexposed.
