I still haven't got round to having my 3ct solitaire set with my two 1-caraters, which is just as well because I'm thinking of having the 3ct halo'ed (a la LVnut's or Beacon's) or alternatively having it set as a three-stone ring with 1.5ct sidestones. I actually tried on a 3ct stone with 80 pointer sides a couple of days ago and it just didn't really look right on my hand, I think the proportion is a little off. Someone I know had her 2.7ct set with 1.5ct each sidestones and it looks absolutely divine on her hand as well as on mine.
That stil leaves me with two 1 caraters that I don't wear any more. I still want to have them recut so they will match (both in size and cut) but I don't really know what to do with them. I particularly LOVE the steely white colour in them (G with medium and strong blue fluor) but hate that I can't make use of them.
So what shall I do, PS'ers? I was thinking of perhaps trading up my two pear jackets that I bought from JA (some of you may remember?) that again I no longer wear because they're a bit too small, for a 2ct stone, perhaps for an oval because it's spreadier. I'm just wondering though, does anyone have or seen an oval centre stone in a three-stone ring with two RB's on the side? Would it be too weird?
If you have pics of such a ring, I'd love to see them.
Thanks.
