Thanks so much Peachy, it is 2.57 for the center stone. The eternity is something like 2.31 if I remember correctly.

The setting I believe was Michael B and she no longer wears that ring. She did have a thread, though you'd have to search her topics to find it.

So the spacer is supposed to keep the prongs from the wedding band from rubbing on the setting?

Yes Allie, and the girdles of the diamonds. Shared prong setting are little chewers and the diamonds and the prongs will damage the
basket of the ring as well as your stone. If you have a flat sided band and the girdle of the stones doesn't extend beyond it, you would be fine. But other than that a spacer ring protects your investment.

I was doing some browsing myself and came across http://www.e-weddingbands.com/store/product168149.html this from e-weddingbands.com. It's a 1.5mm wide + 1.5mm thick plain band. Do you think this would work as a spacer and be pretty discreet? I'm thinking it would work pretty well, no? Plus it's only $105!

That's what I have and it works fine. Although I got mine on ebay for about $30 - it's silver. But very discreet.
