I bought this from Barry's August sale, and it's perfect! It's exactly the little fire ember I was looking for, it looks like sparkling lava (well...if lava sparkled). And the best part is, it's already set and wearable! I quite like the setting, simple and sleek, 14k yellow gold which compliments the stone quite nicely I think.

Wow, MTG, it is awesome! Good for you for taking a chance. I saw it and thought that it looked okay, and given the low price, it must be drab and tiny. Hah! What's that expression: nothing ventured, nothing gained? Even in your photos it looks like a burning ember

Thanks! I was surprised that it was there as long as it was. It may not be the pure orange spess you dream about, but it's not ugly either. There's much less brown, and more red in person than in photographing.

I think barrys photo made it seem darker and more brown than it really is. That's my guess anyways. I'm thrilled with it though!

Sigh, I keep trying to capture the color but invariably end up with WAY too much brown, and WAY too little of the red. BAH!!!!

Beautiful spess and ring!! I love the redding orange shade, it makes me think of molten lava. Great choice on the YG as well, it complements the stone perfectly.

Isn't it frustrating when you cannot get the color and light that you can see with your own two eyes and the camera REFUSES to capture? Twist the stone this way and that, click, click, click, move the lighting around, click, click, click. Dang, dang, dang, dang, dang, dang....missed it again. Rinse. Repeat.

Of course I'm liking what I see...but I cannot see all that flashy stuff you can and are disappointed in missing.
