My setting:

It''s 1.9mm width with sidestones. Do you guys think it might be too thin for the diamond #1 and #2?

Both looks good but I prefer nr 2.
IS picture looks great.
nr 1 seems to have a thicker girdle.
Be sure that the feather is on a good location.

Ditto.

No, it's fine, and pretty! I'd go for the bigger stone myself, they're both fine though. (make sure they are eyeclean)

QueenMum:

When the Clarity characteristics says "feather," does that mean there is a feather looking object in the diamond?

Looks like there is a feather in diamond #1 at 1 o''clock, do you think that''s a bad enough location to choose diamond #2 over #1?

thanks

Only the vendor with the stone in hand can say if it is a cause for concern. Or you can get it independently appraised.

The vendor, JamesAllen, stated that diamond #1 is eye-clean. Although I did not ask about the feather.

Ditto! Also the feather isn''t likely to be a problem but it would be prudent to get JA''s gemologist Julianna to inspect the stone for you in this regard.

It''s a beautiful setting and will not be too thin for either stone. I would go with #1.

Diamond #1 and I think the ring will look great with a 1.9mm band thickness.

I''d try to see if they''re eye-clean for your eyes. For me, my eye would always be drawn to that feather.

Love the ring, where''d you find it?
