Hey all,

I've narrowed down my search to two ideal stones, here are the attached ASETs. Any thoughts as to which one to go with?

TIA!

Do you have a video of each? Fancies really need a video to help judge them. At this point, I prefer the left one.

Just have ASETs, could make an amateur video later in the week for both

Both are very strong performers in terms of ASETscope imaging :)

I would say that A seems to be collecting light from a wider area than B (more green than red) so it might be less 'off/on' than B as it changes angle of viewing?

(Credit for the image to John Pollard, IIRC?!)

If you have both in hand, though, then you will have to check them out in a wide range of lighting conditions to see which appeals to you more - I don't think you can really go wrong, if the ASETs are anything to go by! :)

Which is a and which is b in those videos?

Did you get a chance to view them in a range of lighting conditions?

They sparkle nicely across the whole stones in those videos, which would accord with the ASETscope images, but the point-source lighting from your phone light will do that!

Did you have a favourite of the two? :)

The longer video is B, the shorter is A. Leaning more towards A.

Between the two I prefer A.

I prefer the second (shorter) video which I believe is A. I'm seeing more sparkle out of it (in this one limited lighting condition).

You saw them in person. What did you think?

I went with A, I also think it might sparkle a bit more. Hard for me to tell but there is also a color grade differnce as well which tips it to A.

Now I have to find a setting.... Solitare tapered from the middle, maybe like 2 mm down to 1.7mm at the stone, with V prongs - head like the one in the virtual video https://www.brilliantearth.com/Four-Prong-Petite-Comfort-Fit-Ring-Platinum-BE1199-1325454/

If anyone has seen something that meets the above please link me.

So in case anyone was wondering what A and B were, A was a 0.777 ct and B was a 0.85 ct. More pics below, and the certs are attached:

Diamonds

0.777 ct Cert

0.95 ct Cert

I should have a final product tomorrow, went with a custom Platinum Solitaire set with the 0.777 ct ACA! Then just have to decide how to pop the Q....

Ooh, excellent - you can't really go far wrong with a solitaire or platinum! :))

When you say tomorrow... are you expecting a delivery on Christmas Day? lol

You'll know when the time is right to pop the question - you know best what they like! :)
