I bought this aqua from Dan, sent it to Julia, and have been working with her for weeks on the design. She just sent me photos of the completed ring (she sent progress photos all along which was great fun!). I''ll be sure to post handshots once it''s here but here are her photos to tide everyone over. I''d recommend her 100 percent. She is professional, talented, and most importantly, a wonderful, kind person who was an absolute pleasure to deal with!

The aqua is (I think I''m remembering correctly) around 7.4mm round. The ring is argentium sterling silver.

Julia does such amazing work doesn''t she? She is obviously a perfectionist - look at that finish!

Exquisite workmanship!! What a lovely piece - reminds me of James Meyer.

My feelings exactly! It''s gorgeous!!

Absolutely stunning and gorgeous ring! I love it! You guys have a great eye! Whether or not it is inspired by James Meyer - doesn''t matter to me! I think she did a great job and has great craftsmanship. This design could be an alternative to the 1345 James Meyer ring that I have coveted! Thank you for sharing and I can''t wait to see the hand shots but these will definitely hold me over until your photos of it are posted!

Wow! That looks amazing!

K,
Your ring is a treasure. It should be well protected in that setting, so you can enjoy wearing it.
JKT has promised to set my aqua. Seeing yours makes me look forward to her work even more.
I am not giving her suggestions; I love her designs so much I want to just leave that to her. However,
she did say she plans a bezel with an ''open pavillion.'' After seeing yours, I think I understand that concept
a little more clearly. She has such fresh, yet classic, ideas.

cool much better...nice..the setting is not overly dramatic..it is simple and clean and shows off the stone real well as the center piece..cool

Katie,
I love it! The simplicity of the bezel with the flourish of swirls to add some interest for the shank completes the package. I’m going to bookmark this for my future project. Perhaps my 7 mm cushion pink spinel? Tsavorite?

It''s beautiful and I love the color of your aqua!!

I love the color of your aqua. The ring came out beautifully as well.
