Photo booth fun

Although it wasn''t exactly our first anniversary, we went out to celebrate last night. it was such a nice evening, so we were able to eat outside at a restaurant i''d been long wanting to try. it''s got great charm and i love that they use fresh, local, organic ingrediants. delicious. seriously tasty. we will be going back

a lot.

then we exchanged gifts. my man gave me a lovely little present that was sweet and sentimental -- it was this sort of accordian envelope (which doesn''t sound cute, but it is) and each compartment? was filled with bits and pictures from the beginning of our relationship through the present with clever and lovely labels. i love it.

i got us tickets (thanks for the idea psers!!) to a concert! we haven''t seen a show in a while and i think this will be some perfect quality time.

then, i told him my idea to create a photo album filled with photo booth pictures taken at each anniversary for the next untold number of years. I just think it''ll be a fun way to look back across the years

we happened to be within a block of a bar with a photo booth, so we moseyed on over to that bar and piled into the booth. we took two rounds and manage to look fairly silly, but that''s all part of the good times!

now i have to find/make a photo album that''s the right size for these strips.

I love your silly pictures! And I love the idea of taking pictures yearly around your anniversary! My husband and I took photo booth pictures 7 years ago. It was fun. I''d like to do it again but have no clue where a photo booth is! The one we took it at was torn down.

Your husband''s gift is very thoughtful and sweet and going to a concert together sounds fun! Happy one-year anniversary lulu!

PB pictures really are too much fun. i hope that they stick around long enough for us to achieve our album-making goal. this booth was in a bar, but i feel like most malls have them?? perhaps there is a nationwide directory

LuLu - I love them, so cute! Fi & I have a set of photobooth pictures from the first summer we were together (1999!) and I have kept one in my wallet for as long as I can remember. We took another set in 2003-2004 (I can''t remember!) and I have those tucked on the side of a picture frame in our room.

I love your idea of going every year. It''ll be so fun to see how you change over the years!!

For those who have never seen a photobooth, we always go to the ones at the Beach on the Boardwalk. But I would check arcades - they would probably have one.

Such a fun idea! You guys are adorable Lovelylulu, what a great tradition you''ve started!

DH and I really, really wanted to rent out one of those photo booths for our wedding reception! We thought it would be such a nice souvenir/favor for people to have of attending our wedding. Alas, the whole idea sort of fell through the cracks and we ended up not having the money in our budget as well, but I''ve always thought that would be a cool idea. Maybe we''ll have a party sometime this summer and rent one for the backyard--oo that would be fun too!
