Anyone out there ever heard of a Phoenix cut stone? It was the shape of an emerald stone with different faceting in the lower half of the stone. I received this stone as an engagement ring (.9c VS1 J) and loved it. I fell in love with it in the store and I got it. I have since divorced and gave the ring back (sniff!) I am interested in finding another stone of this cut. I was told by the jewler (one that I do trust) that it was a very rare cut that he bought from the person who cut it and that there were very few of them ever cut and that the cutter wasn't planning to cut many if any more and he held the patent on the cut.Does this sound like a load of bull or did I give back a rare stone that I should have hung on to? (I wish I could have kept it - if only because *I* loved it.... but that is another story.)Amsey
