I'm interested to know the personality types of fellow PSers! The Myers-Briggs test is probably the most common (lots of businesses use it for team-building, for example). There are longer tests online, but this shorter one gives me the same result as the longer ones, so I believe it's pretty accurate: https://www.16personalities.com/free-personality-test

I'm an ESFJ, "The Consul" (extroverted, sensing/observant, feeling, judging).

What are YOU? Do you think your Myers-Briggs type description is accurate? Mine definitely is.

(If we want to look at other personality typing methods, we could check out the Enneagram. I'm a 3, and my husband is such a 5. Opposites attract, they say )

VIRTUOSO (ISTP-T)
I think I've "regressed" in recent years, getting more introverted lol.
100% introverted
61% observant
56% thinking
59% prospecting
78% turbulent

eta: this is hilarious:
When it comes to romantic relationships with Virtuosos, it’s a bit like nailing Jell-O to a tree
...
If Virtuosos are to be lifelong partners, it must happen as a natural progression of these day-to-day decisions, on their own time.

H and I dated for 10 years before getting married XD. I sent him the jello quote.

I love the Jell-O quote!

And since I didn't post my percentages the first time around:

Individual traits:
Extraverted – 74%
Observant – 67%
Feeling – 55%
Judging – 75%
Turbulent – 58%

INTJ-A
figures.

INTJ-A "The Architect"

Introverted - 92%
Intuitive - 54%
Thinking - 84%
Judging - 56%
Assertive - 71%

I took this sort of personality test at work and tested as a very strong INTJ, so I'm consistent. I think it's pretty accurate.

ADVOCATE (INFJ-T)

Introverted - 53%
Intuitive - 53%
Feeling - 67%
Judging - 55%
Turbulent - 75%

Not what I was expecting but I'll take it!

INTJ-A "The Architect"
Introverted - 55%
Intuitive - 52%
Thinking - 59%
Judging - 75%
Assertive 87%

ESFJ - but I took the test years ago. I am not as extroverted as I used to be.

Funny my husband is INTP - diametric opposite!!!

I took this earlier, didn't agree with the result so took it again and got the same result:lol:

ISTP- "Virtuoso"

Introverted- 92%
Observant-83%
Thinking-61%
Prospecting-100%
Turbulent-67%

Not sure how true this is but I read only 6% of all people have this personality and the majority are men.

Haha I take this test every time someone posts it on PS and I am sure I get a different answer every time depending on my mood when I answer the questions LOL.

Here are my results.

PROTAGONIST PERSONALITY (ENFJ, -A/-T)

Extroverted 53%
Intuitive 57%
Feeling 53%
Judging 71% (ouch and:oops: )
Turbulent 59%

A couple years ago, I took this test and got INFJ-T.

Today, I'm a INFP-T "The Mediator"
Introverted 99%
Intuitive 72%
Feeling 80%
Prospecting 55%
Turbulent 97%

It's extremely accurate, in my case. :eek-2:
When my DH did this (years ago) he was my opposite in almost every way. An ESTP "The Entrepreneur."
It works for us..most days.

Oh come on Missy, you know that's not what "judging" means in this context. It just means you're a planner. That you're not comfortable with winging it.

I didn't take the test, but I've almost always tested as ENFJ or XNFJ - neither introvert nor extrovert.
I suspect, with all the changes in my life this last 3 years, my answers would skew and overlay my natural inclinations.

This test also uses weird terminology....prospecting? Uh...weird.

Haha my dh came just came home and I had him take the test and he got the same results as I did. He's a Protagonist ENFJ with his results showing he is more extroverted at 79%.

However I then had him take the test for me answering the questions the way he sees me and the results were Advocate Personality INFJ with the numbers similar to when I took it but just slightly different. And probably more accurate as I definitely think I am more introverted than extroverted and always say I am an extroverted introvert. I go out of my way to be extroverted in order to make others feel comfortable. But at heart I am an introvert.

Thanks for starting this thread Hayley87.

Yeah my sad attempt at humor lol. ;) About the terminology I know right? Prospecting. That is a strange term.

I always tested as an ENFJ through college, but I started testing as an ESFJ once I began grad school and the work force. Something about the combo beat the intuition out of me, perhaps?

And the "Judging" isn't in the common sense of it, so don't feel bad ;)2:

"The fourth criterion, Judging – Perceiving, reflects how a person implements the information he or she has processed. Judging means that a person organizes all of his life events and, as a rule, sticks to his plans. Perceiving means that he or she is inclined to improvise and explore alternative options." (http://www.humanmetrics.com/personality/type)

It just means we tend to be the organized, somewhat predictable types...and I don't think there's anything wrong with that! :cool2:

If anyone is interested in the Enneagram typing, here's a quick online test: https://www.eclecticenergies.com/enneagram/dotest.php

The Enneagram typing is based on numbers 1-9, arranged in a circle. It's somewhat like traditional astrology in that each number has others that it works best or conflicts the most with. I find this test particularly helpful because it identifies negative behaviors you're likely to exhibit towards yourself and/or others when you're stressed. Another fun personality puzzle piece, anyway :mrgreen2:

I'm a 3 (or, more specifically, a 3w2).

grouch

I am I

It says I'm a commander, but I think the results were inaccurate because there were no questions about interacting with cats.

I've never heard of enneagram. I took the test and the result is 5w4.

I took the other enneagram test and the result is 1w9

INTP-T Logician

Introverted 70%
Intuitive 68%
Thinking 68%
Prospecting 65%
Turbulent 55%

It says I'm in a rare 3% and;
The Unexamined Life Is Not Worth Living
"Logicians are known for their brilliant theories and unrelenting logic – in fact, they are considered the most logically precise of all the personality types."

I'm an introverted rationalist so I guess these results reflect that.... I used to be more extroverted when I was younger and did these tests, so it's interesting how it changes as you age and your views of the world around you changes and grows.

And for the second test it says Type 1 the reformer with all wings balanced described as;
"Perfectionists, responsible, fixated on improvement"

I'm a 3w2 too on the second test. With a sexual variant. Have no clue what this means but will read the meaning behind it tomorrow as my dh is getting annoyed with me taking these tests and asking him questions about it haha.

The longer first test results said
I was most likely a type 4.
Taking wings into account, I am a 2w1 or 4w3.

Fascinating test Hayley, thanks. Looking forward to reading what it means.

Like Madam B, I am also a Commander.

Extroverted 75%
Intuitive 53%
Thinking 59%
Judging 60%
Turbulent 58%

The Executive EstJ-A

88% Extrovert
36% Intuition
61% Thinking
92% Judging
57% Assertive

The intuition and judging are surprising to me but the rest I would agree with.

I have a terrible time taking the Meyers-Briggs - I can't answer the questions! I think I'm an INFP on MB. But I think my education, professional training, and age has changed me.

Tests are cool, and I've taken them over the years only to find out the results change fairly often.
I know these things to be true about me:
I get my energy from alone time
I love people and I love socializing but it exhausts me
I have a very defined sense in my own head of what I think is right/wrong/doesn't matter

I have BEEN defined by professional personality "evaluations" as being a Performer or Star or Dynamo. Yeahhhhh, probably. But, I'll do a series of extrovertered days or shifts at work and then come home absolutely drained and devoid of energy and will spend up to and sometimes over 48 hours alone to decompress and reenergize. I was just married to an actual extrovert who could. not. stop. ever and it damn near killed me.
