Pendant

I have a question. Sorry if I'm posting this in the wrong place, I can delete it if I am. I've had this pendant for literally ages now, but no clue what it can be?? There are no markings on the gold. Does that mean it's costume or a fake stone? Thank you!!

Just wanted to add that a cousin gave it to me when we were little.. I never wore it and kind of put it away in a pile of other jewels/beads.
