Hi Everybody !

My 3-stone adventure goes on
2.gif
Leon pulled in a pair of pears to match my 1.85 G VS1 (diameter 7.93 mm).

Here are the specs :

Weight: 0.61 ct
Dimensions: 5.8mm x3.7mm
Color: G
Clarity: VS1

Ring size : 4.75

What do you think ?

Leon strongly advised against going bigger, even a little.

I can''t see any bow tie effect on the pic but asked Leon to inspect the stones to make sure this is no issue.

Many thanks in advance for your sound advice !!

Pears 0.61ct.jpg

I would definitely go with what Leon suggests. That ratio looks perfect to me.

I agree. Even though .61 sounds small, a pear will look like a much larger stone to the eye.
Those look "purrfect"

The ratio looks perfect to me!

I could stare at that picture all day!

They look FANTASTIC. Can''t wait to see the ring!

Nice ratio and I am sure once it''s mounted it will look much better than just being loose next to each other...

I think that looks great! I have to admit though, that''s exactly what I have for my engagement ring (in a trellis setting). The only difference is that my stones (all three) are smaller than yours.

What setting are you going to have the stones set in?

Is it .61 total or for each stone? They look good to me, but I want to look up the size of Kaleigh''s.

Kaleigh said this:

"My pears are .34 each and the center stone is 2.36."

Great combination!

Very, very, very pretty!

Beautiful proportions!

They look terrific, my pears are .68 tcw. I can''t wait to see your ring once it''s finished. I don''t see a bow tie in either of them. Leon has such a good eye... He picked my half moons for my oval RHR and did a great job. HTH, Lisa

Trust Leon, every ring he does is 100% perfect to me...

Many thanks to you all ! Thanks to you, the choice will be very easy now !

DS, it is about 0.3 per pear (0.61 total carat weight).

Zoe, the setting will be Leon Megé 3-stone classic (same as KristyDarling but without double prongs).

Lisa, many thanks !! Both your gorgeous rings were my inspiration

and I loved Jon''s video about your ovals ! Thanks to you, I ''ve been made aware of the potential issue of bow tie in elongated stones like pears and ovals and inquired about it regrding those side stones

The oval you picked is a fabulous stone very well complemented by the half moons ! And I am drooling over your pear sides-ring since 2 years

Both are so stunning and harmonious in their proportions !

Thanks UCLABelle !
