Pear recommendations?

Hi all,

Recently have been very interested in diamond pears lately... and thinking I would LOVE a pair of earrings and a pendant.

I was wondering if anyone had advice on what to look for in pears. I've noticed I tend to prefer the "fatter" pears. I've read this site but was wondering if anyone had any more details of what to look for: https://www.pricescope.com/wiki/diamonds/pear-cut-diamond

Also, if anyone could recommend vendors where I can source some pears for the earrings and pendant?

Appreciate any help... fancy shapes are all very new to me!

Brian Gavin has similar earrings and does custom, so they can probably add the pears at the top :

If you look through their necklace section, there's a pearl necklace with a pearl hanging with a pear, similar to the pear at the top of the earrings you like - so clearly they can make it. They should be able to source pears, just let them know your budget.

You can look to see what you can find at James Allen but with earrings (that need to match) you really need to
work with a vendor who can help find matching pairs.

Looks like BGD has a nice selection of pears in their inventory... will def have to reach out to them. I'll have to check out diamonds by lauren site... haven't been to that one yet!

I was already planning to make a visit to IDJ in August when I head back to NY because I am looking for a eternity band as my wedding band... might have to ask to check out some pears while I'm there.

I have little concept on how big the carat weight would look in a pear... but for the earrings I am thinking something like .25ct for the top stones and 1ct for the drop stones... and hoping to keep it around $7500-8000 if possible. Based on IDJ's online inventory... it looks like it might be possible but we'll have to see.
