There is nothing glaringly wrong in these number, but they only say precious little about the diamonds as well. There is no rule yet for predicting light return from a pear cut based on numbers alone... so nothing I could say in that regard.

Otherwise, the Very Good symmetry of the third stone does sound remarkable: there are few fancy cuts getting this far. There is some variation in proportions (the first stone being the most elongated of the three)- which I am sure you did look into. based on this, I would expect #1 to have a somewhat unusual look - a long profile and small table, which makes me quite curious to see the piece.

Is there any way you could see these or, at least a decent array of pictures (magnified ones for inclusions and, hopefully Ideal Scope ones) ? I would surely like to see at least the inclusions plot for fancy cut SI1. Buying them based on three numbers and NO visual clue sounds a bit of a stretch. Rounds are all round, pears are all different, as far as I believe...

I agree with Val. Numbers look good, but it would be best to compare them in person. Because each has a different shape, you might find one stone more appealing than another. That may be the deciding point since the numbers are all reasonable.

Use the shape selector tool on www.gemappraisers.com to communincate with the vendors about each diamond. You can then have some visual clues about the outline of the diamond, not just that is is "pear" shaped. There are just too many possible situations where the numbers do not truly indicate the likely prettiness of the stone. The 1.50 has no girdle thickness listed and there are no crown heights to further the cause either. I agree that no true prediction of brilliancy can be taken from these numbers.

Try the length : width ratio of these thrtee on the AGA shape selector. You may find #3 is a little different than the other two....Possibly the beginning of making a selection. Certainly, not the way to make a final decision.
