Payment Methods For Online Vendor

Hi Everyone,

This is my first time shopping diamond online so i am just wondering which payment method do you guys prefer; using bank wire and save some money or paying by credit card and have some security in case things didn't pend out???

Refunds on CC can be quicker than by wire. You get points on CC which may be worth more to you than the wire discount.

I'm starting the process from buying a ring from WF, and since its a such a trusted PS vendor I plan on using a bank wire. I'd be just as comfortable if it was with JA or BGD

I have paid by wire several times to both WhiteFlash and Good Old Gold. But I'd never wire money to a vendor that I didn't know and trust.

I think it is an individual preference, Bank wire and Credit card both have their advantages like if you pay by
Credit Card than you earn the points which is beneficial also you have protection, whereas if you pay by
Bank wire you have Bank wire discount, whichever suits you, however what you also need to check is the refund,
if you want to return the product for refund, which one would be easier? I know most of the companies refund
the wire payment by check which is time consuming and Credit card payment can be refunded back on the card which
is easier, I personally would choose Credit card over Wire.

Paypal is another option you could choose if it is convenient.

AGREED! I would NEVER give my bank account information to an online vendor that wasn't part of PS (and felt comfortable doing so). Also it depends which vendor. OWD doesn't charge a difference in price paying via bank wire or CC. Some places charge a % transaction fee. To me it all depends on fees, points and pricing.

Credit card is safer if there is a dispute. Personally i also like to get frequent flier miles that way.
