My friend has just purchased an asscher cut and I think it''s very nice. I was looking closely at a princess and have a couple of questions on them.
I understand a pavillion, but I am not sure what a larger percentage means? Also, is a higher crown angle % a bad thing? After viewing my buddy''s ring, I thought I might switch and get an asscher, but he mentioned that I should watch out for the crown % when getting an asscher. He said his is high at 18%, but the depth and the table are fine (69% 62% respectively -- he emailed his report and I am just firing off the stats -- he didn''t know about pricescope when he bought, so please be honest-he won''t know because he is already done!). His ct weight is 1.15. He bought it at a B&M shop.
I have read that asschers have to be seen to be appreciated. His looks great, so I am happy for him. I just would like to know if anyone can comment on the crown %? Also I am interested if anyone knows about how a pavillion % affects a princess (or an asscher if I decide to switch).
Thanks to everyone on this forum. There have been some great stories and even more loads of info!
