I''m a first time buyer, and couldn''t be more excited!
I just got back from a good local dealer (Reis Nichols - its in central indiana - and they''ve been around for a long time). Their "signature" diamond is called "the reserve diamond". Its got the 0 rating for cut, polish, and symmetry - and wow, do they sparkle.
The ones I really like were in the Pave setting (please follow this link: http://www.reisnichols.com/the-reserve-diamond.php)
I''ve never seen a diamond sparkle or have fire anywhere close to those - in the "dark" too!. I know the diamonds are of very high quality, but does the pave setting help alot?
Unfortunately, the only "reserve diamonds" they had on display were in the pave setting, and they closed the vault so I could not see any of their loose diamonds to compare it to. (The entire store is full of CZs because they have been robbed twice, while they have about 2000 loose stones in the vault).
