No, it is notvery common... perhaps a couple of other signed rings at Pearlman''s have paved prongs, but this is about all I know. The downside of the paved prongs is their size - definitely larger than the unusual ones, and small prongs are preffered, in general. This might haveprevented the particular look to become more popular, aside the technical difficulty.

all of the pave prong rings i have seen have been custom projects. pearlmans has a version of the michael b in the pearlman''s selection on their site. it''s about 1/2 the price.
