Paul Newman has passed away!

I am very saddened by the news that Paul Newman has passed away from cancer at the age of 83.

Oh man, I knew this was coming, but still.

What a great actor, and what a thoroughly generous gentleman. With killer looks to boot. Rest in peace Mr. Newman, although you''ll always be Butch Cassidy to me....

I didn''t know it was coming. I didn''t know him, but he was a neighbor, from the town of Westport close to us. I heard anecdotes about him and his generosity all my life. His heart was in the right place.

I read that article, too. He was an amazing man, and a shining example as to how Old Hollywood behaved. He will be missed.

I loved Paul Newman. He led a wonderful life and did so much work for charity. Strangely, I watched Cool Hand Luke only last week and he was fabulous in that movie. I loved it when he played the banjo and sang a song with tears rolling down his face when he heard his mama died, it was such a touching moment.

Great movie, great man, sad day.
