Hi Girls,
I am so excited to be planning a Disney trip with my DH in October. We went a couple of years ago and I wore my six prong platinum ering the entire trip (rides, roller coasters etc). I now have reset my stone in a 1345 JM bezel and am being paranoid about wearing it on the trip. I really want to wear it since I don''t feel great about leaving it at home and I love it so much!. Do you guys wear your erings at amusement parks? Am I worrying too much?

A bezel should be pretty safe; would you feel comfortable leaving it in the hotel room for the day? As long as you are careful with your hands, it should be ok. Most Disney rides just involve sitting, and even the crazier rides, including roller coasters, shouldn''t beat up your hands. However, if its something you''re going to stress about, it might just be easier (and more fun/worry free) for you to leave your ring behind.

As long as it's insured, definitely

If you're worried have your jeweller check it a couple of weeks before you leave (so there are a few days to fix any unexpected issues)

Disney with your DH will be SO much fun!! I'm jealous

I don''t want to leave the ring at the hotel (we aren''t staying in a terribly fancy place) so I would have to leave it at home (which would also make me nervous). I never leave my ring at home when I leave the house. If I left it behind we would have to get a safe deposit box.

It''s totally insured. And yes, I am very excited to go on this trip! We have only been on one other trip in the 6 years that we have been married. This is our last trip before we start trying for a family.

Because your ring is insured, I say wear it, and have fun!

We do tend to leave our rings/other jewelry at home when we travel, but we store them in a safe at my MIL''s house, so I feel they''re safer there.

I say go for it. I don''t think you''ll be riding any rides that make you bang your hand around, and a bezel should be the safest of the setting types.

if it''s insured, I would take it along and enjoy it :)

Thanks lilyfoot!
P.S. If I ever left any jewelry w/ my MIL it would likely "disappear".

I would def. wear it. I''ve left my ring at home when going to places I don''t want to draw attention to it,(South & Central America).

Are you planning to do strenuous activities? If you are just going to have fun and relax, wear it!

No strenuous activities, just roller coasters and rides. And I don''t really worry about drawing attention to my ring it''s not really blingy.

We''re going to Disney World in October too! I''ve never been on a week long vacation before and it''ll be my first time in Disney! Also, it''ll sorta be our "honeymoon" but a year later since we didn''t have a real honeymoon last year.

I''d wear the ring and have a GREAT time!!

Oh I don''t think you''re being paranoid at all! I don''t even like opening bottles with my left hand due to my eternity bands! And when a JM is in the mix....god I love those rings! However it is in a bezel and it is insured. I think it''s probably OK. The only time I''ve left my rings home is when I went to Belize on my honeymoon.

When in October are you going? It can''t believe you have never been to Disney before. You will love it. What I really like about it is that the entertainment is built in and I am not tempted to "shop" and end up spending more money. Bummer about your honeymoon. We didn''t go on one until our third anni. I made DH tell everyone we were on our honeymoon since we didn''t get to say it when we were newlyweds. LOL.

Also, I use the "standing in line for a ride time" to check out everyone else''s rings? Is that weird? Probably.

Getting there October 3rd, coming home October 9th! When are you going?? I am SO SO excited!!! We got the deluxe dinning package breakfast, lunch, dinner, and 2 snacks per night per person is included. We just made our dinner reservations about 2 weeks ago since we were told everything books fast!

I''m sure I''ll be using the standing in line time to stare at rings too...I always do! I told DH before we got engaged that I liked "small" stones (BAD idea)....and he took that literally, so my ring isn''t much to look at but I still love it

Pshew! I thought this thread was about me.

Seriously, I think it would be fine to wear your ring. Have fun.

I wouldn''t even think about NOT wearing it. It would be an automatic, of course.

We are arriving on October 2nd and leaving on October 6th. We have to stay at a crappy hotel (dumb recession) but we won''t be there much anyway. I grew up a Four Seasons girls so crappy hotels are painful for me

You guys should check out the "premier seating" for Fantasmic. We did it last time we went and it was sooooo fun!

I think your ring lots clean and classic. I really like it!

Fantasmic, I haven''t heard of that? I''ll have to check into it. We went through AAA and they gave us recommendations so I think we got a decent hotel, but like you said you aren''t in it that much anyway!

Our anniversary is October 10, we will already be at home but we told them we were there to celebrate. Maybe they''ll still give us a nice surprise! I hope you have tons of fun on your trip!
