Paltinum Damage???

[Honestly]

My ring got caught on a door handel and I banged it a little. Anyway I noticed today that there is a verry small rust looking spot between the crease of the detail. Could this indicate damage to the platinum or is it just dirty. I don't even know if the spot is related to getting the ring caught on the door knob though. I checked it right after and didn't notice anything.

PS it's a the Tiffany aquamarine legacy so I'm assuming and hoping that the platinum is real and top of the line.

Sounds like dirt

try adding 1/2 cup of boiling water with a dash of cold water to take it just off the boil - into a cup and a dash of cloudy ammonia and squirt of detegent and give it a good scrub with a toothbrush.
Diamonds only can use boiling water - clean the diamonds first and then the aqua after it has cooled a bit.
good rinse and dry well.
