I was wondering how you were liking you "MEGA Bling" 5 stone. I think we have about the same size finger (4.5) and I am wanting to get a 5 stone and want to maxiumize my finger coverage. Are you happy with the size stones you chose? Is it comfortable? I will say I want to make mine out of those lovely chunky AVC. I was also thinking about doing it in a cross trellis setting.

I'm so sorry, lovemybling. I didn't see this, until another PS'er kindly brought it to my attention.

Well, to be absolutely honest, I''m not so completely enamoured by it. I don't really know why. I mean it's very blingy and very beautiful but for some reason, it just doesn't look *right* on my finger! It's possibly because I don't have long slender fingers and this is just one horizontal band of major bling! Also, the size of >50pt each is a bit large, so consequently the two end stones hang over the sides of my finger. It doesn't really bug me so much though, nor is it uncomfortable - as the band is nicely curved to wrap around the finger; it's just that it looks kind of "funny", a bit too much, IYKWIM?

Sorry, I hope it doesn't dampen your enthusiam for it. I have seen many many beautiful 5-stone bands on other ladies' fingers here on PS. So I hope my sentiment doesn't discourage you from getting yours.

If it helps, I think the trellis setting like mine is perfect for the 5-stone

Amy, I think I posted pics on a thread somewhere. Let me see if I can find it. Otherwise, I'll try and take a couple of pics of it and post them soon.

I hope you don't mind if I add my comments to this.

I recently purchased a 4 stone ring with 40 point diamonds--so kind of similar to Phoenix. My plan was to make it a 5 stone ring with another diamond I have. When I first saw this post I was thinking Phoenix's diamonds were also around 40 pointers--my memory is failing me for sure--hey, it happens. I agree that the diamonds are quite large--I have small hands so the effect is even greater. And I can't even imagine how large they are at 50 points. I do love my ring but it is mega wattage for sure. Plus, I thought I would wear alone without my e-ring but I end up wearing them together which looks kind of odd because clearly I need a bigger e-ring to go along with those larger diamonds.....HA! So now I am looking for a larger e-ring diamond....and on it goes....lol.

I would suggest going into a B&M store and trying on a few 5 stones, take photos from several distances and then see how you think it looks.

Wasn't there someone else here who recently got a larger diamond eternity. Maybe the transformer SMTB post? I forget how large her diamonds were on that but they did seem large to me--of course my memory could be failing me again.
