Hoping you see this... I love your Sholdt semi-bezel settings and just wondered how easy it is to clean the stone? I''m a bit of a fanatic about cleaning and if I couldn''t really get in there it would drive me nuts!

That setting is just so beautiful. The best semi-bezel I''ve ever seen

Is there any space underneath to get to the pavilion?

Thanks for any help!

mmeeeeee toooo

I am looking to go this route for a re-set.

iwanna, I''ve been following your bezel debate... so you''ve decided? (Here I am thread-jacking my own thread!)

While we''re paging these Sholdt semi-bezel owners, I had kind of an odd question for them as well. Would it be easy to fit a latex glove over the ring without much trouble/snagging? My girlfriend is a nurse so I was looking to get her a low-sitting prongless ring, and I had been eyeing the Sholdt semi-bezel. I appreciate the responses heyeliza and elle_chris!

Hi angeline- There''s no hole underneath the stone to clean the culet (is that the right word?). I just soak and scrub and that seems to do the trick for me. But if you''re that much of a "fanatic", I don''t know if that would bother you. If you''re really interested in the setting, I''d contact Pearlmans. They may have it in stock and send it to you so you can take a look yourself.

ring_hunter24- It''s a very low setting and while I haven''t worn it with latex gloves, I doubt you''d encounter any snagging issues as the bezel is very smooth.

Thanks elle! Is there space near the stone where the ''V'' on the side is? or is it snug? I guess I should just try to get to see one.

thanks!

No space and yes, it''s very, very snug. I use a small brush that I have from whiteflash to clean around the "V" and I try to kinda push it in, but i don''t think it gets me anywhere.

Not sure how much dirt can get it in since it''s so tight? An ultrasonic may loosen anything that''s built up around the edges though.

Thanks elle_chris. I think you''ve answered my question. For an OCD cleaner it sounds like it might not be for me! what a pity, it''s just so perfect!

Angeline- DON''T GIVE UP YET!

It''s been my experience that a designer, will modify and existing design if the customer asks for it. For instance, a hole at the bottom (even though it would need to be pretty small) for cleaning purposes may be doable. I''d contact Pearlmans and speak with Bill about it first.
