Hi Demelza!

Being as you offered to answer any other questions that I may have about your lovely 5 stone trellis ring, I will have at''er!

Basically my biggest question / concern is whether having a five stone with larger stones impacts the comfort or fit of the ring at all? I''m so glad to know that you are a size six (same as me!), because your ring looks very ''in proportion'' to me. I still sort of want my ring to have a fluid look (as if it could be an eternity band), without ''squishing'' my neighboring fingers. I like the way that your ring design sort of curves in at the sides.

This is kind of a garbled post, but I guess overall I''m wondering if you are glad that you went for the bling with 50 pointers? ( I''m considering around 40 pointers) Do you have any more hand shots of it?

I know that I''ve said this before, but congrats on owning such a lovely piece - I hope that mine turns out as well!

Thanks!

Hi Bem --

I'm very happy to answer your questions:

This ring was a bit of an impulse buy -- I saw it while on vacation and loved everything about it: the size of the stones, the setting, the proportions. I didn't buy it right then and there because I knew I could get a better deal elsewhere, but I would have had the price been right. I love the size of the stones and wouldn't change them even if I could make them bigger. They're big enough that they span the width of my whole finger, but not so big that they look silly (not to me, at least). It's amazing how quickly your eye can get accustomed to what at first seems like a really substantial ring.

I understand your concerns about comfort. I was concerned at first too given the size of the stones and how close they are to the neighboring fingers. However, if the ring is positioned properly (i.e. not spinning), the prongs do not touch my other fingers. As you said, the ring curves in such a way that the fingers nestle into the sides of the ring just perfectly. Sometimes I can feel the prongs if the ring spins a bit, but I don't at all find it uncomfortable. The whole ring is very smooth, even the prong tips. The workmanship is just beautiful.

I don't have more hand pics available right now, but I can certainly take a few more in the next couple of days. I'll post them here.

Are you thinking of getting a Sasha Primak or going custom? If it's the former, I was initially very concerned about not getting certified H&As, but I knew I didn't want to try to replicate the design. I can tell you now that the stones Primak uses are phenomenal. Dare I say I might even prefer them to H&As?!? They are so firey and so bright and lively. Anyway, I can't wait to see what you decide!

Let me know if you have any more questions.

Thanks, Demelza! That is exactly the kind of information that I was looking for. I am looking at having one custom made, and would love to see more hand shots if you get around to taking some!

Thanks again!
