How have folks packed their loose diamonds to be sent for setting? Mine came in a box and a pincher/holder thing, however on Leon''s order site its says not to send it in a box or holder. I know to pack it in a little box, then a bigger box, but how do you pack the diamond itself.

"5. Please do not send jewelry boxes, pouches or holders - they might be discarded as a packaging material. "

Am I just misunderstanding this to assume I wont get it back? So someone please clarify for me.
Thank you

Yes, I am sure that means they might discard whatever you send the diamond in. The only time I have mailed diamonds back to vendors, they were in the little holder inside a ring box because that is how they came to me. In lieu of that, I suppose one could put it in an envelope inside a cardboard jewerly box, then put that in a bubble wrap envelope, and then do another box. I have always used the standard priority mail box for my outer box because there are so many like that, and I feel like mine wouldn't draw attention.

(When I say envelope, I am thinking of one of those little see-through plastic ziploc jewelry envelopes.)

It is fine with me not to get the box and holder thing back. I just didn''t quite know what was ment by not sending those items in the first place. Thanks for the input.

Have you called Leon directly and asked how to send the diamond? He might have the suggestions on how to do it. And I would assume if you''re making a purchase like this, he''d be more than happy to help!
