Hi all...
I need some input. I chose a diamond at whiteflash and I cant decide on a setting. I tried a scott kay at a B&M store that I really liked.

WF Legato with shared prong: http://www.whiteflash.com/Engagement-Rings/Styles/Diamond-Settings/The--Legato--with-Shared-Prong_1058.htm
WF 3/4 eternity: http://www.whiteflash.com/Engagement-Rings/Styles/Diamond-Settings/Diamonds-for-an-Eternity--3-4-_1070.htm
WF harmony: http://www.whiteflash.com/Engagement-Rings/Styles/Diamond-Settings/Harmony-Engagement-Ring_1136.htm

Which of the above do you think will most closely approximate it? Does the 3/4 eternity chaff the adjoining fingers? Any cleaning issue? Would one get dirtier than the next?

Oh and I also want a stone to be set a little lower. Which of thse 3 would give me the lowest stone? From the pictures it looks like the legato sets the stone a little lower but i am not sure.

Please help, this stuff is giving me ring dreams every night :p

Thanks a lot!!!

PS: I am going to call WF tomorrow but I would appreciate some input in the meantime. :)

I vote Harmony! It seems to look most like the RB one, but the legato head is divine

and according to my WF rep (I am getting the legato sleek line) it sits super low to the finger...

One issue to consider though is how hard the wearer is on her hands... I have heard that the pave on the harmony will be a little more delicate than shared prong diamonds, and that you shouldn''t use an ultrasonic cleaner on the harmony. These considerations might sway you, and these are the reasons I went with the plain shank on the legato sleek line. I''ll get a fancy dimaond wedding bang for the extra bling. Maybe some wearers of these rings will chime in and give you first hand opinions.

Let us know what you pick!

I definitely think Harmony is the most similar to the other ring you posted, and I think it would be the most comfortable to wear long-term, although certainly none of them should be uncomfortable, if sized properly - I have the WF 3/4 eternity shared prong wedding band and its perfectly comfortable to wear (and gorgeous!).

I also think Harmony is the prettiest overall - I love how the whole ring seems to flow together.

Good luck with your decision and be sure to come back and show us the finished product.

I vote Harmony because it is a gorgeous setting.

You get used to eternity bands in less than a day. I wear an old school channel set 1.5 ctw band that is a fairly high channel and never notice it bothering me. Once you wear them for a day, it's like getting used to some dental work, it becomes natural and you never think of it again... And these types of rings definitely are not dental work!!

Well, I already have a plain band (we are going the opposite way, first the wedding band and then the e-ring :))

How gentle will I have to be with the ring? Please tell me what I CAN''T do while wearing it?

PS: I kinda like harmony too

My personal favorate is the Harmony ring. I think the Legato head gives you the lowest set ring. But keep in mind, Whiteflash does semi-custom mounts meaning you probably put the Legato head on the 3/4 circle ring....just another option to throw in the mix. I have herd that Pave set rings are more delicate than other types.

I tried on the shared prong and the legato with micro-pave at WF. I chose the micropave and am very happy. what I didn''t like about the shared prong was it was a little scratchy on my adjacent fingers and when it turned around on your finger you could see where the prongs ended and the plain band showed. I much preferred the bling to go farther around the ring. I didn''t even know about the harmony and if they had one in production, I would have loved to have compared it, too. The micropave is a very subtle shimmer, and I might have liked a bolder diamond bling on the side. BUT , Im quite happy with my choice and really like how it looks next to a plain WG band (cos I couldn''t justify the price of the w-band). Oh, and this was an up-grade for my 28th anniversary so DH just let me take the reins. So , long story short, of the choices you gave--I vote for the Harmony.

My vote is for the shared prong, but I am biased because that is basically my set. More bling for your buck and the ACA melee is so delicious you won't be disappointed!

No chaffing at all for me, but you may be more sensitive than me.

Here''s my shared prong setting from WF...the little ACAs are amazing!

I have small kids and I am running around all day. I cant baby this ring. I want to wear it all the time...well, most of the time anyway :) I will call WF in the AM and let u know how it goes.
Thanks again...

Update

I went to WF (I live in Houston :D) and selected the 3/4 eternity band in yellow gold. Then came home and thought and rethought how all the yellow metal would look next to the diamonds. Then I went to Bailey Banks Biddle where I''d seen the Scott Kay (or so I thought) again, which turned out to be a Memoire ring. Which turned out to be pretty darned close to what I am getting at WF. Which is being made in platinum now :) Thanks for all your help. Im really excited :D Will be sure to come back and show you the pictures when I get the ring!
