Owners of e-ring with surprise diamonds--do you like them?

I have to make a decision soon on my RB e-ring--surprise diamonds on the basket or not? For example, a ring like Mark Morrell''s flame. For owners with this or similar-type ring, what do you think?

My gf prefers bead-setting over plain solitaire, as it makes the ring more "sparkly". I would think that adding a few surprise diamonds would also be a nice touch. So many little decisions to make, I can''t take it anymore

Hi there! I would think that since you're asking owners of rings with surprise stones in them if they like the surprise stones that the majority (I'm guessing vast majority) will say yes, they like them, because it tends to be one of the defining elements of a ring design (in my opinion, anyway).

About your specific question, I am madly in love with both MWM's Flame and Torchiere and am ABSOLUTELY without a DOUBT getting the surprise stones on the head when I get my ring. I LOVE ring profiles, and those two rings (they share the same head--whoa, sounds like something out of a freak show) are the most beautiful I have ever seen, and I have been looking at rings for yeeeeeeears.

If she wants a little bit of sparkle, then definitely go for the extra diamonds on the head! It will look so amazing!!!

I don''t have a surprise stone... per se... but I was insistant on a beautiful profile and the way my ring is designed my culet is like a surprise diamond for me , side view sparkle and bling, though subtle. And I LOVE IT. Even if other''s don''t notice it, I see my hand from that view all the time and everytime, my heart skips a beat. It''s actually one of my favorite parts of my ring. As for the MWM you are considering, I would ABSOLUTELY get the diamonds in the basket. NO question.

Thanks for the insight. Yes I agree that the diamonds will look great, but does it cover up too much of the pavilion and side profile? I guess with a beautiful MWM-designed profile you can''t have it both ways.

Actually Mark is designing a 4-prong basket for me. The rendered pictures with his newly upgraded software looks gorgeous
