I''m looking for dangle diamond earrings and ran across these on overstock.com. I can''t get the picture to post but here is the link. What do you think? Would they be ok? I bought fabulous studs from Whiteflash earlier this year with the intention of wearing them for my wedding, but the dress really needs dangles. Thoughts, ideas greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I think they''re lovely, but don''t know anything about Overstock.com''s quality, service, etc. Anyone else?

Good luck with your shopping & let us know what you choose!

And here''s the picture. They''re listed for $199.99.

I think you''d be dissapointed with these since the disclosed clarity grade is I-1-I-2.

Also the only are 0.17 TOTAL WEIGHT.. really teensy.

But the rest is a personal taste situation/prerence.

Personally, I''d look for better quality goods...

I think they are very pretty. But I would buy them as essentially nice costume jewelry, not an inheritance piece or anything! (Obviously!)

Check out this site....you can bid on the items, I'm sure you will find a better item then you posted above for alot less Money.

There are a few dangle ear rings on this site, just scroll down to where it says Next, click that and you will see more ear rings. Inventory changes daily so if you don't see something today that catches your eye check again the next day.

Its basically an auction site , each auction has a set time when it is over but once its gets down to 30 seconds as long as someone is bidding on the item the time is extended 30 seconds until someone finally outbids the other persons bidding, if it gets to be more then you are willing to pay you just stop bidding, its really easy, so its a little different then e-bay which has a set ending time but you can find some nice deals on there.

Most of them have alot more total carat weight then .17 too.

yes do pay attention to the carat weight...if its .17ctw that means about .085 per EARRING so that means alot of metal rather than diamond...i have seen some things that look nice on overstock for jewelry but have never been able to bring myself to buy it...it just seems like i'd get them and be unhappy. i think a few people on here bought their circle pendant for $199 or something, i think and a few people noted it was more metal than diamond if i can recall correctly.

for other cheapie type chandeliers check out www.fortunoff.com and www.ross-simons.com .... i was looking for something like that for my wedding last year but of course everything i liked was $400 or so...and i wanted a necklace and earring SET which was very hard to find. in the end i just wore crystal briolettes which sparkled just fine and were $75 for the set of earrings and necklace from Nordtroms...hehe.

but i did love looking at all the beautiful things and sometimes you can find good deals out there. pay attn to the color of the stones (clarity IMO is not as important with these tiny tiny stones, but maybe stay away from I1 or worse so that they dont look cloudy); and also ctw as RD pointed out. the more ctw means more sparkle vs metal.

have fun!

What about something like these ? They are fake but I think still fun...and yes I have them I wear them to swaps and they are cute and I get a ton of compliments on them every time I wear them.

I think I''m going to go check out the fakes....I don''t have enough $$$$ to buy good quality diamond chandelier or dangle earrings. I found some beautiful earring jackets that would incorporate my new Whiteflash studs...but of course the jackets were almost $2000 themselves....so I think the fakes will be the best I can do right now....

Thanks everyone!

i think that is a wise choice. if you are going to be spending that kind of $$$$, you want to be able to wear them more than a few times and diamond chandelier earrings aren''t your everyday kind of baubles!

I was going to comment that they are probably smaller than you'd expect. Look at the scale picture, they're only slightly over an inch in length excluding the earwire. Get out a ruler and see how short they'll be. I think the costume chandelier earrings are a better way to get more bling for your buck.

I never wore my wedding day earrings again after my ceremony. My sister borrowed them for her wedding and afterwards they got wrapped up in tissue paper and placed inside of the shoes that I've never put my feet in again.
