I bought a 1.72ctw parcel of oval cut rose cuts from JbEG, and last weekend I got a chance to stop in to Single Stone to discuss a project. Heather and Ari showed me their amazing bands, and helped me figure out what would work best with the stones. They are slightly graduated, so I was thinking of either doing something kind of more 'organic', with the stones turned at slight angles and slightly mismatchy OECs in between. Or Ari suggested balancing the stones with larger or smaller OECs in between, and setting the ovals E-W which I love. I think I will add 4-6 OECs--one in between each rose cut, and possibly 2 on the outside. Ari suggested ten pointers, which will give me a 3/4 eternity, or I could do 2 in between each rose for a full eternity, perhaps?
Of course I am having a hard time uploading, but here are a couple shots, and a link to the inspiration--imagine the ovals in the place of the french-cut baguettes.
